There seems to be a fairly large population of Canon possessors who are affected by the E18 error. In this composition I'll educate you a many simple styles you can try to repair the error yourself.

First I should explain what exactly an E18 is. According to Canon’s web point, it's an error that involves the lens unit or lens cover. The lens gets stuck in the extended position, and refuses to move moreover to concentrate the lens or to repudiate when powered off. It can be if you apply pressure to the area girding the lens while it's in the recording mode (this includes dropping the camera), or if beach or dirt get into the lens area. The lens gets wedged, you get a black screen with a small “ E18 ″ sign in the lower- left corner, the camera beeps a many times and turns off.

3) Another result is to try and push the lens back into place. This is the least preferable system. Try it only if the camera is out of bond and DO N’T apply too important pressure! If the lens can be set back into place with a light drive, great! If not, do n’t force it!
