how to Repair a damaged CD?

Why compact discs are damaged. Compact discs are all plastic. Compact discs are not as sensitive to magnetic fields as they are to floppy disks, which have never been used to store data when even the smallest magnetic field conflicts with floppies. So what is the reason why CDs are damaged? CDs work with the goal of light exposure. CD drives have a built-in laser used to read data. When the laser is focused on a CD the beam is visible until there is some data on that is, 0 or 1 point when the light is back differing representing a small value. If something on a CD breaks the laser light path, something like dust particles or something like FINGER PRINT !!!. Fingerprints are nothing but natural oils from the skin that stick to the surface in contact with the skin with the pattern of skin cells. These oils or fingerprints help to convert light and loss of data into a source of learning i.e. laser. If the CDs do not work the reason is because something is disturbing the laser to read the shiny side of the CD. But do I have important data to do now? Most of the time because of dust or fingerprints, you need to clean the CD. You can clean your CDs with plain water or a little soap. And it is better to clean the CDs after a while. But this does not mean that you should start putting your CDs in the dishwasher or weekly washing machine. All you have to do is wipe the shiny side of the CD with a clean wet cloth and try to run it and make sure the CD is dry before you start it. People say that by using all kinds of different things to clean CDs like toothbrushes, wax polish etc. but I would recommend that you purchase a CD cleaning kit. But if you still want to go try it, let me know the results. And one thing I have to add is that the DVD works on the same principle and is very sensitive to dust and fingerprints. You can also use the process mentioned above for DVDs.
