How to reduce body heat

Thermoregulation is the body's ability to maintain body temperature within certain limits even when surrounding temperatures vary widely. In contrast, thermoadaptive organisms simply adopt the temperature of the surrounding environment as their body temperature and do not require internal thermoregulation. The process of internal thermoregulation is one of the aspects of homeostasis. It is a state of dynamic stability of internal conditions of the body maintained far from thermal equilibrium with the environment (in zoology, the study of these processes is called physiological ecology). A condition called hyperthermia occurs when the body is unable to maintain normal body temperature and the body temperature rises much higher than normal. Additionally, people can experience fatal hyperthermia if the wet bulb temperature remains above 95°F (35°C) for 6 hours.[1] A 2022 paper experimentally found that wet bulb temperatures exceeding 30.55°C cause decompensated heat stress in young, healthy adults. The opposite condition, where body temperature falls below normal levels, is called hypothermia. This occurs when the body's homeostatic heat regulation mechanisms become dysfunctional, causing the body to lose heat faster than it can produce it. Normal body temperature is approximately 37°C (98.6°F), and hypothermia occurs when core body temperature falls below 35°C (95°F).[2] Hypothermia, which usually results from prolonged exposure to cold temperatures, is usually treated by attempting to raise body temperature to normal levels.[3] Only with the advent of thermometers was it possible to obtain accurate data on the body temperature of animals. Although blood circulation tends to increase the average temperature of internal parts, it has been found that local differences exist, as heat production and heat loss vary significantly in different parts of the body. Therefore, it is important to identify the areas of the body that most accurately reflect the temperature of the internal organs. Additionally, to be able to compare these results, measurements must be performed under comparable conditions. Traditionally, the rectum was thought to most accurately reflect the temperature of its internal parts, or, depending on gender or species or bladder. 
Some animals undergo one of several forms of dormancy, a process of thermoregulation in which their body temperature temporarily drops to conserve energy. Examples include hibernating bears and lethargic bats.
