How Acne Develops?
Acne develops when the hair follicles of skin get plugged by overproduction of sebum, dead cells and become infected by bacteria. This leads to swelling, redness and pain at the site of infection.
What Are The Acne Causing Factors?
Acne is a result of an imbalance of two or more factors in skin physiology relating to the sebaceous glands and duct system.
Pilosebaceous units are the combination of hair follicles and oil glands present in skin. Except for the surface of the palms and the soles of the feet, pilosebaceous units are found on the skin tissue throughout the body . They are responsible in secreting the oily substance which is called sebum. However, there are many factors (e.g. hormonal imbalances, stress and the skin’s natural condition) due to which the oil glands may be induced to produce more sebum than normal.

Or wash your face with mild soap and water. It removes the dirt and also removes the plugs on the skin pores, which may be a combination of hardened sebum, dead skin cells and bacteria. Although dirt is not truly the cause of acne, it may contribute to trigger or boost up acne inflammation by interacting with skin debris and excess oil.
4. Use Oil Free, Water Based Makeup
No makeup is recommended because it can make your breakouts worse. Heavy, greasy products with cocoa butter, mineral oil or cold cream can aggravate your acne.
However, if you are using makeup, use water-based and oil-free makeup Mineral-based products with silica, titanium dioxide and zinc oxide help absorb oil and minimize redness.
5. Use topical cleansing pads
Use topical cleansing pads that may contain one or the combination of the following: salicylic acid, sulfur and benzoyl peroxide to remove excess oil and combat acne. Another way to lessen the presence of extra oil in the skin is to wash the face with the hottest water you can withstand.
6. Don't Use harsh cleansers and scrubs
Minimize the use of harsh cleansers and use acne skin care items that exfoliate mildly. Don't scrub vigorously to the affected areas of your skin. Scrubbing can actually promote or enhance acne.Use your hands to clean your face, and pat your skin dry with a clean towel instead of rubbing it dry.
7. Avoid Touching Your Face
If your hands are dirty, refrain from touching your face. It's very important one. Whenever your fingers meet your face, they transfer dirt and oils.
And wash your hands with soap and warm water frequently — especially after eating — to keep them clean.
8. Don't Ignore Your Hair
If you have long hair, tie up your hair in order to keep it away from your face. Especially if the weather is hot and you have been perspiring.
If you have oily hair, then you should wash it more often than people who have dry hair. Keeping your hair clean, oil free and away from your face will help prevent breakouts on the forehead and face.
Avoid using headbands that cover your forehead as they can encourage acne, too, by keeping sweat in place.
9. Don't Pop or Squeez Your Pimples, Ever!
Never pick, pop or squeez your pimples. It only increases the chances for inflammation, promote acne and can lead to scarring.
10. Be Relax
Stress has been shown to make acne worse, not directly cause it. So if you suffer from acne, don't take stress and be relax. You should be aware of how you react under stress and develop ways to help manage and keep it under control. This will not only help to control acne but also benefit your over all health.
Preventive measures are just as important as the treatment of acne itself. At least, it helps to ensure that your acne inflammation does not increase and spread to a larger infected area.
