Friends, if you want to go to civil service, then every year exam is taken by UPSC for this, through which it is decided based on your marks in the exam in IAS, IPS, IFS, and other posts.
To participate in this exam, the aspirants of all the states of India participate.
Exam Pattern -
UPSC takes this exam in three. First, here Prelims If you pass in prelims, you will be allowed to appear in the mains exam for which you will have to apply again. After you leave the mains exam, in the end, your personality test, or we can also call it interviews.
Nationality for UPSC exam -
- For IAS and IPS, the candidate has to be an Indian citizen.
- For other exams, candidates can be –

- A citizen of Nepal or Bhutan,
- Tibetan refugees settled in India before 1962,
- A person of Indian origin has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam.
Education Qualification -
You must have passed graduation from any stream to appear in this exam. And you don't need to have any education.
Age Limit -
The candidate must be between the age of 21-32 years (for the General category candidate) on August 1 of the year of examination. However, age relaxations die to exist for SC, ST, OBC, and Physically Handicapped candidates.
For Other Backward Castes (OBC), the upper age limit is 35.
For Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), the limit is 37 years.
The upper age limit is relaxed for certain backward candidates concerning other factors and physically handicapped (PH) people.
How to Prepare After 12th -
Friends, if you have done 12th pass with any subject, it is important here that you should have a good hold in that subject. UPSC's syllabus is vast; if you prepare it with graduation, it will be appropriate. If you do your graduation degree from the BA stream, it will be perfect for you, which will help you in both your prelims and mains exam. According to the UPSC syllabus, I would suggest that you start with NCERT Books from class 6 to 12, this will strengthen your foundation, and after you complete the NCERT Syllabus, you can go through the Standards Book. Go towards and start your studies according to the syllabus.
You may start CSE preparation by focusing on current affairs, making notes (related to current affairs), and reading newspapers daily.
Apart from this, you can go to YouTube and watch the status videos of IAS IPS officers and how they have prepared; it will help you a lot in this.
