How to Police ARREST Amber For Running A Ponzi Scheme To Finance Her Appeal?

Amber Heard is many things, an actress, a model, a mother, and now, allegedly, she is a fraudster. Since her legal battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp started, the Texas native has endured tough times, especially on the financial end, with her lawyers publicly acknowledging that their client is dead broke and unable to pay the almost $10 million the judge ordered her to pay Depp.

And now it appears that in an attempt to solicit funds to finance her legal war, Amber has designed more of what you would describe as a Ponzi scheme, a series of claims and counter-claims bringing together several insurance companies. So, what is this business the actress is trying to do with insurance companies that may soon land her into more trouble? Let's find out.

Amber Heard is looking into her insurance to pay for what she owes Johnny Depp; however, the insurance company has told her to hit the road with those claims.

When she was looking into which policy was best for her, NYMGI was the one for her; she now has a policy worth $1 Million, and this document covers many different types of wrongful conduct, including defamation; however, things are not as simple as you would think.

So, here is the catch…the actress is covered by an insurance policy that is within California law, and that is very clear on how the defamation situation would have been covered, you see, the premise of the defamation would be if she was unknowingly defaming a person, however, in this case, she was found guilty of willful defamation, and they even doubled down and called it malicious defamation, so there is where New York Marine and General Insurance Co. can find the way out of covering her policy.

Now the insurance company just needs a declaration from the judge saying that she premeditated the defamation situation, and that will grant them legal grounds to void the defamation protection policy. But Amber is not going down without a fight; she is now suing the insurance company, hoping to double her score, more like betting.

Although a million dollars shouldn't be that much for a person of Amber's stature, an insurance claim would definitely help her out since she is in the bag for eight times more than that. The mother of one still owes ex-husband Depp more than $8.3 million.

According to Law And Crime, New York Marine and General Insurance Company filed the suit against Amber in early July in the US District Court for the Central District of California. And as we have explained, while Amber reportedly has a $1 million liability policy, the company chooses to refuse to payout as she committed 'willful' and 'malicious' conduct, which is against their policy. "An insurer is not liable for a loss caused by the willful act of the insured," claimed the suit.

The jury found Amber liable for intentional defamation, so barring any modification of that finding on appeal, the actress's conduct is arguably excluded under the statute. Therefore, New York Marine may be able to convince a court to relieve it of its duty to indemnify Amber for the $8 million jury verdict.

The Justice League star has appealed the jury verdict against her. If she is successful, then she likely has a claim against New York Marine for not contributing to her defence. If the verdict is affirmed, it will be interesting to see the result of New York Marine's lawsuit and whether the rest of her insurance companies implements the same strategy after initially defending her. The bottom line is that the litigation involving Depp, Amber, and Amber's insurers, is far from over.
