Most Texas Holdem games start with the first two players from the remaining dealers placing a predetermined bet. These players are called small and large blinds, and their betting is called posting the blinds.

2. Each player receives 2 cards face down. These cards are called pocket cards, and they are the only cards that are different from you.

3. After each player has his or her hole cards dealt, betting occurs first with the player to the left of 2 blinds, this bet cycle is called pre-flop. As with any other poker game, a player can call it the height of the fold in his time.

4. After the end of the Pre-Flop cycle, the dealer will pull out the card over the deck and discard it, this is called a Burn Card. This is done to ensure that no cheating is done. The dealer will then turn 3 cards in the middle of the table area. This round is called Flop. Any player can use any of these cards to make the best 5 card hand possible, but you are not allowed to touch the cards, each player can use the same cards if it helps them, which is why your hole cards are very important.

5. As with pre-flop, now there is another bet cycle, this is when you will start to see the players roll.

6. After the bet is over, the dealer will burn another card, then use the fourth card of the community cards. This card is called a Turn card

7. It starts another round of betting, and this is when you will start to see the size of the pot really grow.

8. Finally, the dealer burns the top card before turning the last card of the game, called the River card. Players now have all 5 community cards and their hole cards to make the best 5 cards.

9. The last chance is given to increase the bet or exit the game. After this, each player in the game will show his or her cards. This is called Showdown. The player with the best hand is declared the winner and the winner of the pot.
