How to plan a child's diet during Covid?

After midsummer, the kids are all back to the world of letters. Children are immersed in online classes in the rooms of their homes when they have to run and play in the schoolyard. However, physical and mental growth will continue to increase with age. With that comes the fight against the corona epidemic. A balanced diet containing foods that help boost the immune system must be ensured. The schooling period will be around 4 to 15 years. The amount of nutrients needed varies with each age. 4 - 6 years diet plan 

The pre-school, LKG, and UKG periods will pass at this age. Today, physical activity is declining for children. It weighs at least 15 to 19 kg and needs to be maintained. It should also include plenty of meat or protein-rich foods. Add two glasses of milk, eggs, fish or proportioned amounts of legumes to get calcium and protein.

6 - 12 years diet plan 

Boys and girls should receive the same amount of nutrients until they are about nine years old. But it should reach a weight of 24 - 26 kg. Foods that provide more energy during this period should be included. Today, girls reach puberty around the age of 8-13. That is why they need more protein than their peers.

Physical growth will be very high. Babies are more likely to eat bakery snacks because of their increased appetite. Make sure you have breakfast before starting online classes. Include an egg, a glass of milk, or a cup of peas. Make multi-colored cakes, oatmeal or puddings. When the omelette is cooked, add a lot of carrots and onions. Including low-calorie foods and drinks can lead to weight loss. Boys' need for iron or iron increases as they grow older.

 

13 - 15 years diet plan 

This is a time when exams are getting older and stressful. Children need to weigh about 45 to 50 kg. Boys need more energy at this age so feed at longer intervals.

Girls should control the amount of trans fat in their diet. Otherwise, an ovarian PCOD-like condition can develop. The absorption of iron from food is higher in boys. Include brain foods that help boost memory. Eat fish, berries, turmeric, broccoli, pumpkin, nuts, and whole grains.

Eating a piece of fruit every day can help improve learning. Vitamin B6 and choline, which are found in eggs, boost memory. To boost immunity, lemon fruits, vitamin A-containing carrots, spinach, broccoli as well as vitamin E-rich nuts, oils such as kiwi, oranges, musambi, capsicum, berries, zinc-rich seafood, beans, nuts and meat can be given.
