The one thing that pretty much everyone can agree on, it’s that going through your first breakup...Yes it's sucks.
When you haven’t experienced heartbreak before, the mess of conflicting emotions swirling around can be a shock and plus you’re faced with the task of sorting through those feelings all on your own. Then there’s also the simple fact that, as a society, we tend to idolize the idea of a first love: we find high school sweethearts swoon-worthy, and romanticize the notion of getting things right on the very first try. In reality, though, breakups happen all the time yet — while a failed relationship is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of — that doesn’t make your very first breakup any less tricky to navigate.
Here is my personal experience that how i have gone through that heartbreak emotions and deviate myself from that....
When you have gone through the first breakup, you may feel like everything was falling apart and want to get back to your life ASAP. But Trust me, it won't fade away easily. Give yourself some time to heal and don't rush things in your life because of the breakup.
Another important thing is , after your first breakup you may feel lonely or void and your heart will ache for someone to put your head on their shoulder but NEVER EVER DO THAT!. Jumping into new relationship as soon as breakup isn't a good idea at all.
Post-breakup, it’s absolutely normal to go over every little detail of your relationship in your head and wonder where and how you might have messed up — but too much of this kind of thinking isn’t helpful to you in the long run, and will only cause you more pain.
You may blame yourself for the failed relationship — try not to. We all make mistakes and the best we could do is to learn from our mistakes.
Here is my few tips to overcome the breakups...
Always know self-love is the unconditional understanding with yourself that you’re worthy no matter what.
Self-love is not a light switch that we can just flip on, it's not something you do once, and boom — you're done.Just like your other relationships, it is a choice to commit to yourself. It’s a daily practice — a conscious decision to be patient and accept yourself for where you are in the moment. It's holding yourself accountable without judgment, examining your behaviors and thoughts while also showing yourself care and compassion.
Make the time for yourself — not just on the weekend or vacation — but dail It’s OK to carve out time for your own joy and not feel guilty about it, whether that’s a hobby like reading, playing an instrument, or just having some uninterrupted alone time.
Visit a Friend It is always good to have a shoulder to cry on during the times of need. A friend in need is a friend indeed. At times like such you would realize your true friends.Share your fears, the feeling that is irritating you, the pain and sadness that is wrenching your heart. That way you would feel a lot better.
Do not lose your smile: We all are aware that smile is contagious. However, we forget the true meaning of smile and its strength.A smile can conquer any possible thing in the world. A smile after victory shows the pride and happiness but a smile when you are utterly broken on the inside can lighten up your mood. For example, observe young children in the park, their fight, their run, their toys, their ideas and their smile. They automatically lighten up your mood. Now, how would you use smile in your workplace?
Well, smile at your colleagues, at the receptionist, at any and every person that you see. This will not only make you feel lighter but also accompany some compliments along with them.
Breakup is the toughest situation, however; when you conquer it with your brave and strong attitude, people will also perceive you as a strong person.
Atlast but not the least, nothing will give a better relif when you are with your family. Spend time with family and you will forget your pains and will start smiling with your family members.
