How to motivate a student in the study

Motivation is an active process, the same as learning is a multidimensional going process. Learning cannot be carried out in the isolation, it must need the active participation of the learner as well as the instructor. To keep the teaching-learning process learner should actively respond otherwise, instructors cannot keep the environment helpful for the learner.

In Pakistan, children are facing some problems which should be supposed before carrying out an active learning session.

Curriculum

Generally in Pakistan, our curriculum is subject-oriented most of the teachers specialize in their subjects but cannot have the overall knowledge of all the subjects they can discuss in class.

Textbook

In Pakistan especially, in the private sector books are carried out by foreign writers which are generally unknown about their local issues. We should review our textbooks, especially on social subjects. Local issues must be carried out as a part of our subjects.

Teaching methods:

Teachers should be well known about the teaching methods and apply these teaching methods in the classroom. Especially, teachers should be trained to judge the psychology of the children according to the subject or classroom environment.

Class timings:

Class timings also influence their educational activities. To manage that class timing one should analyze the physical activities or learning process, as well as children, do not get fatigued.

Examinations

Nowadays, in Pakistan examinations are taken so, frequently that children learn only to pass the examination. The examination is the best way to judge the performance of a student, but it does not affect the learning of a student. The examination should be related to the learning process but not spoil the learning process that children try to pass an examination as compared to acquiring knowledge.

The above presented are some factors that influence the children to motivate in their studies.

Now the fact is how he can motivate children to work hard for their studies? To motivate a student a teacher should be considered the interest of the children also. A teacher or parents as well consider what subjects students like to study or have an interest in it. Most of the time teachers or parents try to influence their impact on the studies of a child and ignore the interest of the student.

Yes, I consider no student perfect for all the subjects students having an interest in different subjects. For example, if a student is very good at learning biology but he or she is not good at math at that time a teacher's & parents should consider the interest of the student and try to polish what subject he wants to do better whether it is biology or maths. Choice of interest is implemented in the whole life not only in the student's life if we have no interest in a thing we cannot do it properly if we have interest in thing or a subject, we can do it more properly or become the best for that work.

Let’s check out what makes your child stop motivating.....

Inappropriate study timings.
Unplanned study schedule.
Missing reward system.
Focus on performance as compared to learning.
Missing short-term goals.
Lack of use of different techniques.

As children become older, more responsibility is placed on them to complete their homework and to do? their best in their assignments. While some students are motivated to complete their work on time, other students struggle to get started.

Forcing & motivating both are different things. Encouraging your child to find motivation positively is important for hard work. Forcing your child to do work put a bad impact on him or her study time, making self-motivation much more difficult to achieve.
