Many books, articles and seminars have played a role in educating people like you about different ways to connect with people and form lasting relationships with them. There are many things you can do by connecting with other people.
One of them is to seem to accept them. According to the hierarchy of needs of Maslow, one of the basic needs of human beings is to have a sense of belonging. Experience the feeling of being human in small groups like family and friends or in small groups like clubs, teams, associations, divisions and parties.
People need to feel that they belong and are needed. One way to accept people’s opinions is just listening. Listening conveys the message that their ideas are valuable and their inputs are important. It answers a very basic need and gives a sense of importance.
