How to Make Money on YouTube: A Step-by-Step Guide for New Creators

           Introduction

Since launching six years ago, Youtube has become one of the most popular online video hubs. And today, it’s also one of the most lucrative. Youtube can be a lucrative business opportunity, from selling branded merchandise to investing in ventures with big bucks behind them. But it takes an expert to create something that people will pay attention to—one who has both business acumen and real-life talent. That’s why I’ve put together this guide, helping YouTube creators take advantage of the platform with insider tips and tactics that people are talking about. All you need to do is follow the steps below, and you’ll be able to make money from home without breaking a sweat. The Game Plan For the first few months of YouTube fame, it’s like you’ve made it.

     Why are YouTube celebrities important?

1. YouTube provides a much bigger audience than the average YouTube user. So while the content from the average YouTube user might be met with something like “Well, that was a pretty cool video,” a YouTube celebrity will have an even larger, easier-to-understand audience (seriously, your average YouTube user is probably a terrible YouTube celebrity). For this reason, YouTube celebrities become viral sensations. They’re not famous like superstars in music, film, or television, but they’re very well known to a large and passionate audience. 2. The pay is even higher. YouTube celebrities can command much higher pay than the average YouTube user because the small audience of the average YouTube user means that they’re hard to come by.

How can we make money from YouTube?

Great question! The answer is simple: you just need to make your own fun, as I do in my Get Paid to Do This video series and my Entrepreneur on Fire podcast. Here’s how I started and how you can start, too. 1. Let It Be Your Hobby. There’s a reason why I enjoy blogging (1, 2, 3). I love to write. I find pleasure and fun in creating, exploring, sharing, and having conversations with other people. These interests are why I started the Get Paid to Blog on Indie Writers Monthly podcast and Indie Author Marketing Report podcast. At first, I made them both for myself, but I started hearing from people who wanted to learn more about these topics within a few months, so I decided to start offering tutorials on them.

Setting up your YouTube channel

Setting up your YouTube channel is, in many ways, the biggest obstacle for an aspiring YouTube creator, the monster that needs to be overcome before the tiny tyke has a chance to thrive. It’s daunting and requires a lot of time, energy, and sometimes money. So before you even start creating content for the platform, you’ll have to go through the whole training process: Doing some research into the platform Uploading a profile picture Changing your privacy settings Changing the name of your channel to something a bit more professional Setting up your profile Sizing the space Creating content Publishing your first video Learning more about the platform Learning how to promote Etc. This is the tedious part, and it might seem daunting, but it actually isn’t.

Creating awesome content

You can call it something different, but that doesn’t change how people want to watch what you create and share it with their friends. It’s an exciting time to get into the game of creating content and getting it seen because it’s clear that people are hungry for content. Get in front of people through posting, sharing, and commenting on other's content. Creating awesome content takes time and dedication, and so you’re probably not going to be able to do it for a living (yet) unless you’re wealthy. But for a creator, that is so worth it because you can make enough to survive or do something else. Getting promoted, Google rewards quality content creators with access to its massive audiences and massive advertising network.

          Conclusion

Today you can make millions from YouTube. You don’t need millions of views; you just need a strong user base to prove that your content is at least interesting. Every day a ton of people use Youtube to learn, browse, watch, and share. That being said, people don’t see you when they’re searching for what to do. That’s why you need to update your videos and curate your content constantly. It’s important to have a strategy in place to promote your videos and grow your audience. So don’t just sit there, do something! What do you think about making money from Youtube? Let us know in the comments below.
