Container candles
Container candles are a great way to enhance your home, especially the bathroom. To make your container candles look great, choose sturdy glassware with a simple design. You can buy this glassware at a very low price at most retail stores. You can usually find great deals on yard sales, flea markets, and thrift sales. Try to find glassware with lids if available.
Clean the whole glass before using it to prevent dust or other particles from forming inside. If you have a dishwasher, a quick cleaning cycle will do the trick. It is not recommended to make candles in a container for anything other than glass containers for safety reasons.
You will need to get a few items on top of your glassware before you can start the process of making candleholders. You will need a double boiler wax, quality wax, dye, and fragrance if you wish to use it. It is best to get wicks with tabs to make this type of candle. For candles in a container, you can use paraffin wax or beeswax wax. Melt the glue in a double boiler at a temperature of about 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Once it reaches that temperature, add your own color and scent.
For best results, place the glassware in the microwave for a minute or two. This will ensure that the wax does not leave the air pockets unsightly in the container as it hardens. Place the glassware on the cookie sheet to clean up any spills immediately. Fill each glass container within one inch of the top. Leaving that extra space will allow space for the candle to burn and not drip outside the container. You will need to let your container candles cool for about 20 minutes.

It is very easy to make your own pot candles for just a few inexpensive items that you can find in your local craft store or online. You will need wide mouthfuls of grain, ribbon, potpourri, votive candleholders, and a hot glue gun. Make your own candleholder candles to add beauty to the dinner table as a medium piece, or give them to family and friends for gifts.
To start, fill the pot with potpourri. If desired, add additional ingredients such as dried apples or cinnamon sticks. Fill the jar enough that when you place the candleholder on top it is evenly spaced over the top, of the jar. Put a candleholder when you are well enough. Next, attach the ribbon to the top edge of the inlet jar. You can make your own candles for candleholders by attaching them to decorations. Canning jar candles are a great idea for Mother's Day or a little children's art to go home with.
Pot candleholders are great for the Holidays. Add Halloween pumpkin slices, little Easter rabbits, and Christmas trees or small Christmas decorations.
