HOW TO MAKE A HABIT OF GETTING UP EARLY IN THE MORNING?

Most of us must have tried at one time or another to wake up early in the morning. It may be that some of you have succeeded, but if we talk about the majority, then they are not able to succeed in inculcating such a habit.

It is good to wake up before sunrise, Such habit makes you healthy, prosperous and wise.

Whenever you have woken up early on those few occasions, you have found that your productivity has almost always been high, not only in the morning but throughout the day. And you have also felt yourself to be better. So being a proactive goal-achiever, You decided to make a habit of getting up in the morning.

It is difficult to get used to getting up in the morning with the wrong strategy, but it is relatively easy to do so with the right strategy.

The Most Common Wrong Strategy

You think that if you want to get up early in the morning, then it is better to go to bed early. So you see how many hours of sleep you get and then slip everything deep before anything else. If you sleep now from midnight to 8 in the morning, you decide that you will sleep at 10 pm and get up at 6 am. Sounds logical, but most of the time, this method doesn't work.

THERE ARE TWO IDEOLOGIES ABOUT TAKING SLEEP PATTERNS

  • One is that you go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day. It is as if there is an alarm clock on both sides – you try to sleep the same number of hours every night. It seems practical to live in modern society. We must have a correct estimate of our plan. And we also need enough rest.

  • The second ideology says that you listen to your body's needs and when you are tired, then go to sleep and then get up when naturally your sleep is broken. This approach has its roots in biology. Our body should know how much rest we need, so we should listen to it.

Through Trial And Error

I realized that both the methods do not give completely proper sleep patterns, and both the methods are wrong. Here are the reasons for that:

  • If you sleep at a certain time, sometimes you will go to sleep when you are not getting enough sleep. You are wasting your time lying on the bed you're not sleeping. Another problem is that you think that you need an hour's sleep every day to wake up, which is wrong. You do not need the same amount of sleep every day.

  • If you sleep as much as your body tells you, you will probably sleep more than you should - in many cases, 10-15 hours more per week than most people who sleep like this. They sleep 8+ hrs every day, which is usually a lot. And if you are getting up at different times every day, you will not be able to plan the morning properly. And since sometimes our natural rhythm does not match with the clock, you will find that your sleeping time is progressing.

Combining both approaches proved to be effective. It's effortless, and many people who wake up early in the morning do it without knowing it, but it was a mental breakthrough for me.

THE SOLUTION TO GET UP AT A FIXED TIME

  • You should go to sleep between 10 - 11 pm. If you are not able to sleep, you stay awake till your eyes start closing. Reading is a perfect activity because it is easy to know whether to study more now or sleep.

  • When your alarm goes off every day, you'll first turn it off, stretch for a few seconds, and get up and sit down. You don't think about it. You've learned that the longer you take to get up, the more chance you have of trying to go to sleep again. So once the alarm goes off, You don't let this conversation go on in your head about what to sleep longer. There are advantages. Even if you want to sleep, you'll get up immediately.

CONCLUSION

After using this approach for a few days, You will found that your sleeping patterns will set in a natural rhythm. If you got very little sleep some night, You would automatically fall asleep early the next night and sleep more. And when you have a lot of energy, and you'll not be tired. Your body knows when to send you to sleep because it knows you will always wake up at the same time, and there is no compromise.

If you cannot sleep and it seems that you will not be able to sleep soon, get up and stay awake for a while. Stop sleeping until your body starts releasing hormones that can make you sleepy. If you go to bed only when you are feeling sleepy and wake up at a certain time, you will cure insomnia. You will be late on the first night. You will wake up till late, but you will fall asleep as soon as you go to bed... On the first day, you may be tired because you slept late and got up very early, but you will be working all day and will go to sleep early the second night.

You will then settle into a pattern in which you will go to bed at roughly the same time and fall asleep immediately.
