In recent years people have realized the importance of proper diet and exercise, and recent surveys show that over the past 20 years people have been eating better and working out more often, resulting in people living longer. But people still lack the understanding that their mental health is as important as their physical health.
Most people today exercise an average of 4 to 6 hours a day, and make sure everything they put in their mouth isn't full of sugars or preservatives, but they don't pay attention to their mental health, no leave. No, not even occasionally. Long weekends, 60-hour weeks, take home with them to work and even working weekends. This is all for the hope of getting such a big promotion one day. When your brain is overloaded and you have a breakdown in the office, what will be the benefit to you?
Ultimately your physical health will be affected no matter how well you eat and how often you exercise. You'll wind up with high blood pressure, stress, and tension, which make you more likely to ****** or have a heart attack.
In hopes of helping you avoid this, I'm providing you with things I do to keep my mental health in top shape.
My favorite thing to do to refocus myself is to go for a long ride on my Harley. Nothing brings the world back into focus quite like riding free like the wind, there is no better form of therapy as far as I am concerned.
Another great way to help de-stress in your life and help bring a glow to your mental health is a trip to the casino. Most people go to a casino and expect a winner to go home, not me. I go to have a good time.
I enjoy the skills required
Sometimes I just like to sit at the poker table, blackjack table or roulette table and just make small bets. It may not be as exciting as risking big bucks, but in the end I play longer, and I probably win more often. The best part is I don't get disappointed when I don't expect to win, and on those occasions when I go home with more money I have a big smile on my face because the night was full so much the better.
Another reason I love casinos is where I live so I can get out my bike in the morning, a nice 3 hour drive to Atlantic City, then at the end of the day I enjoy another 3 hours Get. My Harley, and if the weather is really bad I can either take my truck or just stay home and log on to one of the many online casinos available to choose from.
I also enjoy watching television for an hour or two every night, a few light sitcoms are a great way to lighten the load on your mind, and laughing out loud for 30 seconds every day is a great way to relieve stress.
Video games are great for de-stressing too, if you're mad at your boss what better way to take it out of you than by boxing, just imagine you're pounding on your boss and hope do that you are not defeated.
I hope you try some of these methods or think of yourself to help reduce the stress in your life and keep your mental health in the same good shape as the rest.
