How to maintain the work life balance and why.

Work can have a different meaning for different people. For some, they do so that they could afford a living that they desire and always strive to make better. However, for some people, money may not be the only reason that they choose their work. It could be the passion they follow to keep themselves motivated to reach higher goals. It is observed mostly in the fields of creativity where the aim is to live a meaningful life, regardless of how much they could earn their entire life. That’s where the concept of work-life balance arises. Where people of both kinds can find a middle way to live a more fulfilled and a life which could give them a sense of purpose, let’s take an example of the majority- the people who are so busy working hard that sometimes they even forget what they are really working for. The answer is simple. They work because they wish for a happy life with people who are happy equally. Sounds difficult? Well, it’s not.

All it needs is a bit of time management and knowing what to do and when. Managing time doesn’t mean that the person should divide the time equally between work and family daily. In fact, working hard on weekdays before escaping on a peaceful trip with family looks like a grand plan for maintaining the work-life balance. The balance itself means not going to any extremes. That settles it. One doesn’t have to quit the job and go for what he believes he is meant for all so suddenly before even trying the minor changes. Who knows, maintaining the work-life balance isn’t that difficult as it sounds. Everyone recommends it, but no one shows the right path. If one could be able to convince what is possible oneself, then the balance would come naturally. Besides, no better, happier way is living a balanced life.

Living life in extreme only brings uncertainty, sadness, and pain. Instead, one could easily choose for a better, healthier, and happier life. It is possible that the success one imagines may not come to them when they live a balanced life. Say, the amount of hard work they could have made when following only one path could have made all the difference. But remember, success isn’t always measured in a single term. Think of a happy family, good health, and all above everything, a focused and happy mind. Wouldn’t someone want it all if the definition of success is broadened just for a moment? Work-life balance isn’t just about switching careers or following passions.

Going back isn’t bad. It is about coming back to the center while being at whatever extreme for that moment and beginning the journey back to peace. Going back is being wise and thinking ahead. I wish all the readers to find their way back to the center from wherever they are today and live the real meaning of the work-life balance.
