How to lose weight in a healthy way

I am here to tell you, my personal story of loosing almost 10 kg of weight over three months. It sounds like, it's a lot of time to lose weight, but it's worth it. If you quickly lose weight, there is always the possibility to gain it back very quickly, or you end up damaging your own health. I lost weight from all over my body, not just the tummy. My hands and legs lost weight in a way that skin is being shredded to re-adjust to the new circumference.

Simple things to follow:

  1. Don't pick up junk from Super Market:I worked full time in corporate job for more than 10 years. So, every month I will get my salary which gives me opportunity to pick-up junk food from the Super Market selves. Even though we follow a lot of rules like, Wheat noodles, Dark chocolate, Organic products, still some of these foods are junk food. Wheat noodles are still fried noodles, will give some extra calories. 55% dark chocolate contains 45% of milk powder and sugar. Some organic product uses different methods to preserve their produce like, oil frying. Although not all the organic produces are junk food. As I am taking break from my job for last one year, so I am financially broke, that helped me to reduce my habit of picking up junk food from the market.
  2. Control your food portion:I am kind of person who does not eat breakfast, that is ok. I have read an article stating that everyone starts their day differently, if you are not a breakfast kind of person, that is completely normal. So, whenever you are having a meal make sure you make rough measurement, like one bowl rice, lentils, vegetables, etc. Your next job will be to reduce the quantity, not drastically, maybe 2% or 5%. Like, reduce one hand full of rice from a plate of rice. Another way to put it, you should eat 3 chapati instead of 4. When you reduce the quantity you will feel hungry, believe me that is the truth. There is way, chew some salads after meal, it is okay to have some pickles after meal. Slowly eat those after meal little things to give enough time to the stomach to forget about more food. Continue to reduce your meal portion from the previous consumption, in every 10-15 days. Please make sure you hold on to a significant quantity after a certain time. For example, 2 chapati for dinner, that should be your permanent meal consumption. Or if you eat anything heavy in a wedding, next evening should something light like, fruits.
  3. Avoid outside food:As I was working full time, I ordered a lot of food online or ate outside. Outside foods are meant to be tasty, that means they will put a lot of fatty ingredients. So try to avoid in all circumstances. Another important thing to avoid is soft drinks. Please do not drink Sprint, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, etc. They are fattening drinks.
  4. Do Religious Fasting:I am not a very religious person, but doing some religious fasting helps you to serve both the causes. Eat fruits whole day or having some traditional fasting food routine is good and good. Pick any kind of religious festivals like, Hindu festivals, Ramadan, Easter whatever you like and do fasting. Do some prayer to God for good health and good fortune for yourself and rest of the world. It helps you to lose the weight and to make you happy.
  5. Try out Simple Recipe:Because of this lockdown, I started to cook. I tried a lot of recipes without oil. It does not taste that good. If you are living with family, it is not possible to cook that type of dishes. But try to switch to non-oily food. You will get plenty of recipes online.
  6. Walk-Out:We need to walk a little. Walking releases a happy hormone which makes you happy. Walking is also good for your joints. Walk around 3000 steps every day. If you miss it in between, that is absolutely fine. Try to cover it in next couple of days. If you have a pedometer to track the steps, it is excellent. If you do not have that, is just fine, walk around 20-30 minutes slowly inside your home or on the roof.
