You think of thousands of ideas every day. Many of the conversations you have with yourself are never shared with anyone else because doing so exposes the "real" you. You are full of self-doubt, worry, sadness, guilt, hurt and disappointment. But that's not "the real you" at all. This is who your ego and belief systems are constructed of. These negative beliefs are constructed by you and accepted as truth by you. Sadly, nothing is more outrageous than the truth. Where did these wrong ideas about you come from? Most of them come from other people; parents, teachers, colleagues and friends. They probably sowed the seeds by saying things like "she's fat" and you've cultivated those comments so much that they've become your truth. You let your whole life be dominated by some obscure comment from a few years ago. No one has the right or authority to decide who you are. Only you know who you really are and what's on your mind. When you were born, you entered the world without the burden of your current negative belief system. You entered the world as a beautiful bundle of joy, full of limitless potential and possibilities. I am here to tell you that you have not changed. You are and will always be a beautiful bundle of joy with unlimited potential and possibilities. The only difference is what you focus on. If you stop all current negative conversations about yourself, such as;
--I am too fat
-why would anyone want to love me
- I will never be thin
- I always fail
The list could go on and on...how do you feel? Do you think you'll feel emotionally relaxed? Do you think you'll feel happier? Do you think you will be more confident?
Now, if you took it a step further and modified your self-talk only by actively talking about yourself, how do you think your life would change. If you spend some time focusing on what you like about yourself, just focusing on your emotional state will become so positive that you can accomplish anything.
Once you start looking for the positive things within you, you will be surprised to find that your brilliance has always been beneath the surface. You've never been anything but that gleaming bunch of joy that came into this world years ago. It's easy to discover the positive aspects of yourself by asking a few questions.
- What am I good at?
– Who benefits from my presence in the world?
-Who am I, and what is in my heart, only I know?
– What do I like about my body?
Your goal is to feel good right now. How do you feel now? If you only observe your positive feelings about yourself, you will feel good, and you will be happy. Decide how you want to feel here and now. Decide that you will always seek out the beauty within you and appreciate that beauty.
So what does all this have to do with weight loss? Everything! ! ! Your emotional state is the control valve that determines what you draw from the experience. How you talk to yourself creates your beliefs and plans in your subconscious mind. So you need to ask yourself if you want your beliefs and subconscious programming to be based on false negative thinking. Or do you want your beliefs to be based on the fact that you are and have always been a perfect being.
Start loving and nurturing yourself today. Let the joy, playfulness and enthusiasm that you naturally had as a child begin to flow into your everyday experience. Allow yourself to celebrate every success, no matter how small. Love and appreciate every opportunity you have. Do this every day and watch your weight start to disappear just as your old negative beliefs about yourself start to disappear.
