How to live a stress free life?

1. Give up over thinking situations that haven't even occurred yet.

Giving up on over analyzing hypothetical situations is the first step towards leading a stress free existence. It is simple to get lost in the realm of worst case scenarios for a while. One of two motives usually drives people to cultivate this planet.

First of all, you won't be shocked when the worst case scenario occurs if you are aware of it. Second, you may take all the necessary steps to govern the world such that the worst case scenario never materializes if you know what the worst case situation is.

If you truly want to create that kind of environment, train to be a professional risk assessor. If not, consider the advantages of carrying on with your lifestyle in that manner.

Does it improve your self esteem and sense of purpose in life? Does it make sense?

2. Give up focusing on what you lack and start focusing on what you do have.

Choosing not to watch television advertising is the simplest method to quit dwelling on what you lack. Advertising efforts spend millions of dollars persuading us that we must have what we do not yet have, and marketing trains us to focus on what we need.

Is there a marketing strategy that encourages you to be content with what you already have rather than purchasing something new to make it better? The likelihood is that you cannot.

3. Give Up Hanging Around With People Who Don't Bring You Joy.

In all honesty, what types of people do you enjoy spending time with? People you can be yourself with; people with similar interests; people who understand you, see you clearly, and accept you with all of your shortcomings.

In what number are those individuals in your life? Which qualities are shared by everyone else in your life? Why do you keep spending time and energy on individuals who don't bring you happiness when you could be doing better?

Do they enhance your appearance? Do you have a tale about how you have to spend time with them to improve yourself or because you have no one else to hang out with?

4. Give up living only in the past and future and start living in the present.

Being in your body and experiencing your emotions are two aspects of being present in the moment that many people find difficult to achieve.

Consider these two questions for yourself: How does fear feel physically to you? What fears do you have?

You're probably not in the present tense if you can't answer these questions. Openness, humility, and vulnerability are components of being present.

Living in the past or the future means denying your body and emotions and living only in your mind.

When you can feel your feelings in your body, the past and the future lose their relevance and intrigue.

5. Give up on a job you don't think has a future.

The mere fact that a job pays the bills does not require you to stay at it. The majority of people work longer hours than they sleep. An average person works between 40 and 80 hours a week, or 2,000 and 4,000 hours annually. That's a big financial commitment!

What guidance would you give if your closest friend or child told you that they planned to devote 4,000 hours of their emotional, mental, and physical energy to something (or someone) that didn't respect them, return the favor, or compensate them for their worth? Apply the same wisdom to yourself. If you don't understand this, you won't be stress free.

6. Give Up Trying to Do More Than You Can.

Being too busy is an addiction. In fact, slowing down can be frightening because it makes you realize you have feelings and allows you to experience them.

I understand. I had been busy for decades by the time I slowed down. I didn't know how to have a healthy relationship with my own emotions, so I fell into a deep depression.

My withdrawal from my addiction to busyness stopped when I realized that feelings are just feelings and that it's healthy and natural to allow them to express themselves. Instead, I began to discover the pace of life that worked best for me.

I was surprised to learn that, in reality, I dislike being busy.

7. Give Up Whining Over Things You Can't Change.

There will always be elected officials you dislike, taxes you don't want to pay, irresponsible drivers who won't get out of the left hand lane, and a customer in front of you in the checkout line who won't stop talking to the clerk.

Being human has many advantages, chief among them being the opportunity to experience all that life has to offer the good, the bad, and the ugly. Learning to live without stress means accepting this reality.

You will only get worse if you focus all of your resentment toward an unchangeable person, place, circumstance, or object. The only person who will ultimately.

8. Give Up Living Other People's Lives.

Your life is not the life of another person. Your life is what it is.

Permit me to analyze that in more detail. This effectively implies that others get to live their lives, and you get to live yours. Just like everyone else, you get to take chances, put things in your fear filled handbag, and make silly, stupid mistakes. Furthermore, it is not your place to run someone else life or criticize them for choices they make in an attempt to spare them from what you have gone through.

9. Give Up Reliving Too Much of the Past.

You must give up dwelling on the past if you want to lead a stress free life. Although it may seem enjoyable to view the present through the prism of the past and compare everything to what has happened in the past, this isn't the case in reality.

You cannot really experience the present for what it is when you are looking through rose colored glasses. Your significant other is not acknowledged for the special gift they are in your life; instead, they are reduced to a catalogue of expectations and broken hearts.

Your supervisor is evaluated against every supervisor who preceded her. The parenting skills of your friends are judged against the parenting skills of your parents.

People like you should be able to stand on their own merit, independent of their past.

10. Give Up Your Resentment and Anger

Nobody is putting pressure on you to cling to your resentment and anger. The physical, mental, and spiritual effects of anger gradually wear you down until one day you wake up feeling more bitter than hopeful.

People eventually tire of being around you because negativity is seeping from every pore. You may eventually grow weary of hearing yourself become irate.
