How to learn basic Spanish words?

Learning a new language is always difficult, but we hope these tips make it a lot easier and hopefully fun! 

In this article we have put together five tips that you can use every day and will help you retain and access words.

 How To Learn Basic Spanish Words, Tip! 1 - Breathe on Man.

 It can be a lot of fun.  If you have a large piece of paper, draw a rough sketch of the human body, then write as many Spanish words for body parts as you can find on separate pieces of paper, using your Spanish / English dictionary. 

Add names.  Put in two and place them in a large bowl. 

Then with family or friends or just yourself, see if you can put all the names on the right parts of the body. 

If you do this twice a week, you will soon have large body parts in your basic Spanish vocabulary.

 How to learn basic Spanish words, Tip 2 - Name game.

 The hardest part of a new language is building a vocabulary that allows you to express yourself correctly.

  My favorite way to get a grip on basic Spanish words is to buy a large packet of sticky notes (afterwards), then walk around the house using a good Spanish / English dictionary and look for everyday things on my sticky notes. 

Enter the Spanish name for  And stick them on objects. 

This means that whenever you turn on the TV, pick up a book, play a CD or open a cupboard, you can say the word written on the item aloud. 

You can even do this on things like canned food, juices, etc. 

As a precaution, avoid sticking paper on hot items, you may catch fire!

 How To Learn Basic Spanish Words, Tip 3 - Kids Games.

 If you are learning basic Spanish words, it makes sense for children to follow our basic language learning methods.

  If you have a local library, you can go down and get Spanish language children's books aimed at starter level. 

If you have children of your own, you can read them together. 

You should not be embarrassed.

This is a great way to learn and prepare, as your vocabulary increases. Then move on to books as you age. 

If you do not have a local library you can buy second hand books online or you can find some at your local Soda Book Store. 

Kids TV can is another great way to get basic Spanish words. 

Many shows have been created specifically to encourage children to learn Spanish.

 How To Learn Basic Spanish Words, Tip 4 - Fridge Magnet.

 You can also learn basic Spanish words using the Poetry Fridge Magnet.

  If you can't buy a Spanish-language poetry magnet tub locally, they are available online.

  The first step is to create Spanish sentences that look right, then translate them to see if there is a random oddity or alternatively try to put together a suitable poem using a dictionary. 

You can even use magnets in the same way we talked about using sticky notes in the first paragraph.

 How To Learn Basic Spanish Words, Tip 5 - Spanish Media Outlets.

 When you have a good understanding of the basics of Spanish then Spanish language media can be a great tool for learning.

  This can be scary if you go straight to a Spanish language TV channel or newspaper, so keep it simple to get started. 

Check out your DVD collection and see if any of your movies have a Spanish language setting.

  The better you know the film, the easier it will be for you to follow the Spanish dialogue. 

This is great if you can find English language movies with Spanish subtitles, the subtitles are usually simplified to make them easier to read quickly, and easier for you to understand.
