During the winter, many people complain about having too much dandruff and hair fall, as well as their hair seeming dull and lifeless.

Scroll down to see our hair care recommendations for keeping your hair and scalp as happy as you are this winter!

  1) Your Hair Should Be Covered

During the winter, the sun may not be out as often or appear harsh enough to harm your hair and scalp, but that doesn't mean you should leave your hair down and let it blow in the cold. Cold winds can make your hair drier and frizzier than it would be otherwise, and ultraviolet rays can still destroy your hair. Wear a scarf or a fashionable hat to protect your hair from the elements, just as you would your skin during the winter.

 2) Excess heat should be avoided.

Just because its cold outside doesn't mean you should expose your scalp and hair to extreme heat. In fact, using really hot water or blow-drying your hair on the highest setting is the worst winter hair care nightmare, since it will drain moisture from your skin and further dry your scalp. Instead, wash your hair with lukewarm water as much as possible and air dry it as much as feasible.

3) Don’t forget oiling

Oiling your hair may seem like a hassle in the winter, but it is absolutely necessary. Dry scalp and dandruff, as well as frizz, are common winter problems. If you oil your hair once or twice a week, these issues are likely to be minimized. Coconut oil, almond oil, AMLA oil, ghee, or olive oil can all be used to naturally nourish and moisturize your hair.

4)Towels made of microfiber should be used instead.

Towels made of cotton should not be used to dry your hair. Microfiber towels should be used instead. They're gentle on your hair, have a high water absorption capacity, and assist cut down on friction and drying time. Cotton or any other substance, on the other hand, can make your hair harsh and cause tangles, frizz, and flyaway.

5) Drink plenty of water.

It easy to forget to drink water throughout the winter, but it's critical for your overall health as well as the health of your hair. According to studies, if your body is adequately hydrated, it will lose fewer fluids throughout the winter. Drinking enough water will not only keep your hair moisturized, but it will also help to prevent split ends, brittleness, dandruff, and itchy scalp.

6) To Keep Your Hair Healthy, Eat Well.

Protein-rich foods are beneficial to hair health. Increase your diet of vitamin-rich foods such as carrots, eggs, pumpkins, and berries. To keep your body and hair healthy, eat a well-balanced diet that includes vegetables, leafy greens, dairy products, omega-3 fatty acids, and meat.
