The far-off chapel ringers reverberated through the unfilled roads of the humble community as the sunset. Sarah, a young lady with long, dull hair and puncturing blue eyes, strolled alone along the abandoned street. She was unable to shake the inclination that somebody was following her, yet every time she pivoted, there was nobody there. As she strolled, a chill ran down her spine. She wanted to ponder the legend of the phantom who tormented the town. The phantom was supposed to be a young lady who had unfortunately kicked the bucket in a fire quite a while back. Legend had it that she was all the while looking for her lost love, who had likewise passed on in the fire. Unexpectedly, Sarah heard strides behind her. She pivoted and saw a man in a dim coat strolling towards her. She was unable to see his face, yet she felt his presence was recognizable. As he drew nearer, she understood it was John, a man she had met a couple of days prior at a neighborhood café. Hello, Sarah! John said happily. I wanted to See you strolling alone. Mind if I stroll with you? Sarah delayed the slightest bit; however, at that point, she gestured. They strolled together peacefully for some time until John shouted out. You know, Sarah, he said delicately. I feel like we have an association. Like we've known one another for quite a while. Sarah felt her heart ripple as she investigated John's profound, earthy-colored eyes. She couldn't resist the opportunity to feel attracted to him. They talked for quite a long time as they strolled through the town, and in a flash, the sun had set the moon was high overhead. As they arrived at Sarah's front entryway, John inclined in and kissed her profoundly. Sarah felt a surge of emotion as she kissed him back. She realized she was going gaga for him. Throughout the following couple of days, Sarah and John spent every second together. They continued long strolls through the town, had picnics in the recreation area, and watched the stars around evening time. Sarah felt like she had at last found the one she had been looking for. However, at that point, odd things began occurring. Sarah would awaken around midnight to find John remaining over her, gazing at her with a numb articulation. She would ask him what was off-base, yet he would simply shake his head and leave. As the days went on, Sarah turned out to be increasingly more unfortunate than John. She was unable to shake the inclination that he was not who he appeared. One evening, she chose to follow him as he strolled through the town. She watched with sickening apprehension as he vanished into an old, deserted house. Sarah carefully went into the house and saw John remaining in a room, gazing at a work of art on the wall. She approached him and saw that the artistic creation was the apparition that spooked the town. As she glanced back at John, she saw that his face had changed into a similar spooky figure. Sarah shouted and ran out of the house. She never saw John in the future. She realizes that the legend is valid and that John is the lost love of the apparition who tormented the town. She realized that she had barely gotten away from a similar terrible destiny as he did. Years after the fact, Sarah got back to the town with her own loved ones. She would frequently recount to her youngsters the tale of the spooky relationship that had tormented the town for ages. What's more, every time she recounted the story, she wanted to feel a chill run down her spine, as though the phantom was all the while watching her, actually looking for her lost love. One evening, as they were perched by the fire, Lily felt a virus breeze wash over her. She went to Jack; however, he was no more. In his place stood a dim figure with eyes that sparkled like coals in the evening. Lily shouted and ran; however, the figure sought after her, persevering until she staggered and fell. As the figure lingered over her, Lily acknowledged with a beginning that it was Jack if nothing else, something that seemed as though he could see the affection she had felt for him in his eyes; however, they were bent and dim. She realized then that she was in the grasp of a shocking tale, and that her adoration for Jack had driven her down a path from which there was no return.
