So because of this, we need to make sure that our smartphones are healthy and will stay with us till we need them. And for this long-life usage of smartphones, we have to make sure that our smartphone batteries are healthy and working properly. So to have a healthy and efficient battery and battery life, we have to take care of the battery. Here are some tips for keeping a healthy and efficient battery and battery life.

> When you charge your smartphone, don't charge it with the mobile case on. The heat produced by the

Smartphones during th charging will get trapped between the phone and case, which will damage your battery.

> Always use the charger that came with your phone or uses a certified charger. Using a poor-quality adapter and cables will degrade your smartphone's battery life.

Keep your smartphone's battery between 20% and 80%.> Don't charge your battery to 100% and let your battery drain to 0%. And if you are going to keep your phone for a long time without using it, charge it to 50% and then keep it.

> Avoid taking your phones to places that are too much hot and too cold; it will affect the sustainability of your battery.

> Replace your home screen and lock screen wallpaper with black and white wallpaper instead of punchy colors. You’ll eventually notice fewer battery drop after applying this hack.

> One more tip is to turn on the auto-brightness option always. Avoid using your smartphone under full brightness, especially under sunlight.

> Avoid any software updates after 2 years of the release because many smartphone brands slow down their devices after a span of two years. Not just that, here the battery and power efficiency also gets reduced. So before updating your software, check out the user reviews first.

> All the batteries in our smartphones feature discharge cycles, and most of the batteries get degraded after 400-600 discharge cycles. However, if you’ll charge your smartphone wisely and connect the charger only when your battery is about 10 to 20% remaining, you won’t exhaust the discharge cycles very soon. It will automatically increase the battery life of your smartphone.

> Charging your phone quickly stresses the battery. Unless you really need it, avoid using fast charging. In fact, the slower you charge your battery, the better, so if you don’t mind slow charging overnight, go for it. Charging your phone from your computer and certain smart plugs can limit the current going into your phone, slowing its charge rate. Some external battery packs might slow the speed of charging, but I’m not sure about that.

> Delete facebook or restrict its permissions and reduce its use. Facebook is a notorious resource hog, both on Android and iPhone. If you really want to use Facebook, go into settings and restrict its permissions, such as video autoplay, access to your location, and notifications. Do you really want Facebook tracking your location? Autoplaying videos on Facebook (they play automatically, whether you select them or not) uses energy and data and can be annoying and intrusive in some cases. There might be relevant settings both in the app itself and within your phone settings.

If Facebook came pre-installed on your phone (as it did on mine), it may not be possible to delete it completely because your phone considers it a system app. In that case, you can disable it in Settings if you wish.
