I - Introduction:
The one thing that web admins desire is a consistent flow of web traffic to their website. First and foremost, web traffic is primarily derived from the following sources, listed in no particular order:
1. Web Directories
2. Internet Search Engines
3. Linkahoy!
4. Discussion board Forums
5. Conclusion Each of these is discussed in depth further below.
II - Web directories:
A web directory is not my preferred medium for increasing web traffic; however, it can be useful for increasing PR, which can help to achieve higher rankings in the Google Search Engine. When someone performs a search, one of the factors Google uses to rank its results is PR (which ranges from 1 to 10). Essentially, with a higher PR, it is assumed that your listing will rank higher than those with lower PR. In a nutshell, PR is determined by the number of backlinks you have and the quality of those backlinks. The more backlinks you have from high-quality websites, the higher your PR will be, and as a result, you will rank higher. That is the appeal of some web directories and link pages. Your web page's PR value will increase in proportion to how high the
PR values are for the webpage where you want to place your link. If you can obtain many links from various PR6 websites, your PR value should increase, and your rankings should improve, resulting in more traffic. You may be wondering how to locate web directories. It is a straightforward task: You have to go to www.google.com and enter your keyword and the word directory. For instance, if the keyword were 'Cat,' the search term would be 'Cat directory,' and various Cat directories should appear.
III -Internet Search Engines:
Search engines are great for driving web traffic if you can get into the top 30 results for popular search terms. Backlinks and PR are important factors in Google rankings. Another variable, in addition to these two, is Onpage Optimization. On-page optimization is the process of editing your HTML code to optimize it for placement in search engine results. This editing may include changes to meta tags, descriptions, keywords, and content realignment. Quick Onpage Optimization Tips for Web Traffic
1. Make use of H1 header tags. Make certain that your keyword is included in this tag. H1 >Cat land /H1 > is an example for Cats.
2. Make use of H2 tags. Generally used as a subheading, make sure this also contains your main keyword;
3. Evenly spread keywords:
Also, in terms of content, try to refer to your keyword regularly, but not too frequently. Please make an effort to sprinkle it throughout the document. This is where the previous sections' article writing comes in handy. Please ensure that your articles contain the following information: I can provide numerous other Onpage Optimization tips, but I discuss them in greater detail in the Optimization tips article HERE.
IV - Linkahoy!
Ebaumsworld is a well-known joke-finding website. It now receives over 750 000 unique visitors per month. However, when searching for ‘jokes,' ebaumsworld does not appear in the top 100 results. So, how does Ebaumsworld get so much web traffic in a month? Ebausmsworld primarily accomplishes this through backlinks. Surprisingly, Ebaumsworld had 9,550 backlinks according to a Google backlink count. Let's face it: manually creating 9,550 backlinks by going to web pages and submitting your link is a very time-consuming task. GOOD CONTENT is the only way to generate so many genuine backlinks. After researching major websites, I discovered two excellent methods for accomplishing this:
1. Downloads/Media
2. Documents
The key to Ebaumworld.com is tonnes of media, not necessarily article writing. Web surfers are drawn to downloads and media in general; it's a welcome change from the text on web pages. When you begin to create articles and media/downloads, you will notice that people will visit your website more frequently to check for new media/downloads; your web traffic will increase, especially if the articles and downloads are excellent. Articles have the added benefit of being able to be posted on other related websites. By inserting your link at the end of your article, you can generate many backlinks. Search engines love Article content.
V - Discussion Boards/Forums:
Discussion forums are an excellent way to spread your message and increase web traffic. Use your keyword and the word 'forums' with www.google.com to find these forums. For instance, ‘Cat forums.' Maintain a record of all of them. You should be posting here regularly. When you register, try to include your website's URL and a brief description in your signature. You will have a steady stream of visitors if you make regular posts on the forums and change your signatures regularly to reflect what is going on on your website. For example, ‘Catland.com – ‘How to Make Cats Happy' article just posted 12/34/04' could be an example signature.
You will also notice that there are several recurring questions that newcomers ask on these message boards. In the Cats forums, there may be a question that you find frequently asked: 'How should I groom my Cat?' If you can write an article to answer each of these questions, you can always post a link to it whenever a newbie asks a question. This will bring new users to your website, and once you have great content, you will have repeat visitors and more web traffic.
V1 - Conclusion
There are always new ways to find ways to increase web traffic. Offline promotion, such as creating business cards, can also be beneficial. You've only just begun your adventure! Last but not least, new content ALWAYS brings back visitors; keep adding content, and your visitors will return time and time. With that said, I wish you the best of luck in your search for web traffic!
