How to increase life span by breathing?

* Take a moment, observe! Speak less! * The mysteries of life are encompassed within our breath...! On average, a human being takes 16 breaths per minute. As this quantity decreases, our lifespan increases. It is not just life that flourishes, but knowledge as well. Our intellect becomes sharper. Conversely, if this quantity increases, our lifespan shortens and our intelligence declines. When we experience anger and agitation, our heart rate accelerates. The volume of our breath also increases. This is why our ancestors emphasized the importance of controlling negative emotions such as anger and fear. They left us various techniques like meditation and breath control. It is essential that only those who have properly learned the breathing exercise known as the  breath control should engage in it. There are also numerous simple breathing exercises that can bring us many benefits. Let's explore one of the meditations mentioned by a highly virtuous monk. * #mindfulness_of_breathing (meditation) * "There is no need to teach you all the different methods of meditation. I have chosen a method that is easy, universally acceptable, and simple. May it spread across the world. This method involves simply observing the breath. Whenever - and wherever - you find a moment to sit still, whether it be on a train, bus, or plane... Duration - From 2 minutes to as long as you wish. First step - close your eyes and bring your attention to your breath. As you inhale, be fully present with the breath, and as you exhale, remain connected to it. Let go of any other thoughts...! By engaging in this process of aligning with the breath, you become aware of two distinct moments. As you inhale, there is a brief pause before the breath transitions to exhaling. The same occurs during the exhalation, where there is a momentary pause before the breath begins to be drawn back in. Through observation, these two stages become more prominent and expansive. Breath enters and pauses momentarily, then exits. It exits and pauses momentarily, then enters again. This gap grows wider and wider. Eventually, a significant period arises. This interval precisely spans forty-eight minutes, estimated to have existed 10,000 years ago. Practitioners of this method have consistently discovered the same timeframe. When you experience this gap, you merge with the divine. You receive all that meditation has to offer. Those sitting beside you will be unaware of your practice. This technique is not confined to specific times; you can engage in it at any moment. You can incorporate it into your day as many times as you desire, even if it is just for two minutes. (Those reading this blog can also participate.) Sometimes, you may find yourself lying in bed, unable to sleep. Instead of worrying, turn to this practice. It serves a dual purpose. It provides a deep state of peaceful meditation and also induces sleep. However, you will only realize that you have fallen asleep when you awaken. The remarkable aspect is that if you fall asleep while meditating, you will wake up in the morning with a meditative state of mind. This implies that deep within your subconscious, the process of meditation continued uninterrupted. Your entire night has transformed into a meditation, utilizing the majority of your available time. Your sleep will be exceptionally tranquil, rejuvenating, and of a distinct quality. This observation can be sustained for six to eight hours. As soon as you wake up in the morning, resume your regular practice of observing your breath. You will be amazed." If thoughts diminish, so does speech. Slowing down speech leads to a deceleration in breathing. When breathing slows down, the mind becomes clear. When the mind attains clarity, ultimate willpower is achieved...!"
