What you can and cannot control???
Several factors contribute to the height of it all. It is estimated that genetic factors make up 60 to 80 percent of your final height. Certain environmental factors, such as diet and exercise, are often calculated in the remaining percentages.
Between the ages of 1 and adolescence, most people get about two inches [2 cm] high each year. When puberty strikes, you can grow at a rate of 4 inches per year. However, everyone is growing at a different pace.
For girls, this growth spurt begins early in adolescence. Boys may not experience this sudden rise to prominence until the end of their teens.
You usually stop growing taller after puberty. This means that as an adult, you are less likely to increase your height.
However, there are some things you can do throughout adolescence to ensure that you increase your growth potential. You should continue with this as an adult to promote general well-being and maintain your height.
1. Eat well
During your formative years, you must get all the nutrients your body needs.
Your diet should include:
1. Fresh fruit
2. Fresh vegetables
3. Whole grains
4. Protein
5. Milk
It would help if you restricted or avoid foods that contain:
1. Sugar
2. Trans fats
3. Saturated fat
If a basic health condition, or aging, causes your height to drop by affecting your bone density, increase your calcium intake. It is generally recommended that women over the age of 50 and men over the age of 70 consume 1,200 milligrams (mg) of calcium per day.
Vitamin D also promotes bone health. Common sources of vitamin D include tuna, condensed milk, and egg yolks. If you do not get enough vitamin D in your diet, talk to your doctor about taking a supplement to meet your recommended daily dose.
2. Use ingredients carefully
There are only a few cases where supplements may be appropriate to increase height in children and combat older adults' decline.
For example, if you have a condition affecting your human growth hormone (HGH) production, your doctor may recommend a synthetic HGH supplement.
In addition, older adults may wish to take vitamin D or calcium supplements to reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
In all other cases, you should avoid add-ons. When your growth plates come together, there is no chance that you can increase your height, regardless of what the supplement label is advertising.
3. Get the right amount of sleep
Sometimes skipping sleep will not affect your height in the long run. But if you turn on the clock in less than the recommended amount, it can lead to problems.
This is because your body releases HGH while you sleep. The production of this hormone by others may decrease if you do not get enough eyes.
It is suggested that:
1.Infants up to three months of age get 14-17 hours of sleep each day
2. Children aged 3-11 years receive 12-17 hours
3. Children aged 1-2 receive 11-14 hours
4.Young children aged 3-5 years receive 10-13 hours
5. Children aged 6-13 get nine to 11 hours
6. Teens aged 14-17 get eight to ten hours
7. Adults aged 18-64 receive seven to nine hours
8. Adults aged 65 and over receive seven to eight hours
Getting more sleep can also increase HGH production, so keep taking that energy nap.
4. Stay active
Regular physical activity has many benefits. It strengthens your muscles and bones, helps you maintain a healthy weight, and improves HGH production.
School-age children should get at least an hour of exercise a day. In the meantime, they should focus on the following:
1. Strength-building exercises, such as pushups or situps
2. Flexible exercise, such as yoga

3. Aerobic activities, such as playing the marker, unraveling the rope, or cycling
Exercise as an adult has its benefits as well. In addition to helping you maintain a healthy life, it can also help reduce the risk of osteoporosis. This condition occurs when your bones become weak or cracked, resulting in weight loss. This can cause you to "shrink."
To reduce your risk, try walking, playing tennis, or practicing yoga several times a week.

5. Practice posture
Poor posture can make you look shorter than you really are. And over time, a fall or a collapse can affect your actual height.
Your back should turn naturally in three places. If you stay awake or sleep a little, these curves may be in line with your new mood. This can cause pain in the neck and back.
Remembering how you stand, how you sit, and how you sleep is important. Talk to your doctor about how to incorporate ergonomics into your daily routine. Depending on your needs, a standing desk or foam pillow can be all that is needed to adjust your posture.
