How to improve work-life balance during the pandemic

How to improve work-life balance during the pandemic ;

The current pandemic completely shifts the paradigm of work-life balance. Suddenly, the concept of social distancing and work from home come into the spotlight. Currently, most of us are working from home. As a result, the situation becomes more challenging and complex. Stress levels increased significantly as most of us cannot maintain a balance between family and work life.

Today we will discuss few simple steps which may help us to improve our work-life balance.

1.Create a priority list

Divide your tasks based on the two-component, importance and urgency. For example, create an audit for your time consumption and track where you are spending your time and it that activity requires that much time or no. Practicing small steps can bring tremendous positive change in one's life.

2. Stop multi-tasking

In everyday life, you heard many times about multi-tasking, and many of us using it as our strength, but in my opinion, multi-tasking impact negatively in the long run. For instance, when we are doing multiple tasks simultaneously, there is a high probability of errors and mistakes, especially on non-mechanical or operational. For the time being, it might help you to shed off your workload, but in most cases, fixing an error can take much more time than doing it first place.

Secondly, unconsciously you are training your mind not to focus on one thing. As a result, your mind is used too of all over the place. So, frequently, you cannot analyze the problems correctly, which leads to indecisiveness. When you are not living in the present moment automatically, you are ruining your peace of mind. So, the best option is to complete one task at a time and then move to the next.

3.Set Boundaries for others and yourself

Always set boundaries for yourself first and then for others. For example, being an employee, if your job is for 6 hours, tell your boss and colleagues to approach you only within that time as they hire you for specific hours, not 24/7. Additionally, you also try to complete your work efficiently and effectively within the given time frame. If you are the company's owner, please stop expecting too much from employees as they are just employees, not business owners. So, do not expect them to work like you.

4.Disconnect from Blue light

As we all know, blue light, such as a phone laptop, is unsuitable for our brain cells. So, try to reduce the exposure to blue light. Once you finish your work, turn them off your device and stop unnecessary wondering on social sites such as Facebook or Instagram. For instance, if there is any news and you want to check, what will happen if you do not see it? Or what could you do if something already happened? Nothing; this will only increase stress and negativity in your life.

5.Create a routine and stick to it

If you are working from home, it does not mean you should break your routine. Always try to follow the routine wake up on time, do breakfast on time, and continue your routine activity. Maintaining health and regular sleeping pattern is crucial for a healthy life. So, better do not disturb your biological clock because it will bounce back hard if you mess with him.

6. Take a break time

We always need" me time, "so every day, spare 20 to 30 minutes for yourself. Create one place at your home where you can spend few minutes alone with yourself only. Break time will help you to reconnect with your higher self and create peace with your inner self. Do not break your connection with your true and higher self.

7. Do exercise regularly

Maintain your routine for physical exercise or at least a daily walk for 40 minutes as physical activity boosts the process of brain cells generation. Do not skip your meal, especially breakfast. As emotional stability and well-being are highly dependent on physical health. So, stay healthy and stay blessed.
