How to impact of work life balance on Employee’s performance

What is the impact of work-life balance on employee's performance

Insufficient work-life balance is a problem that poses a significant risk to workers' happiness, performance, and organizational performance.

According to the American psychological organization 2009, Sixty-nine percent of employees report that work is a significant source of stress and 41% say they typically feel tense or stressed out during the workday. Struggle between work and family roles was found to lower the apparent quality of both work and family life, which, in turn, impacts organizational outcomes such as productivity, absenteeism.

Given the benefits of work-life balance practices and the possibility to help improve employee job performance in terms of increased organizational commitment, job satisfaction, reduction in the turnover rate, AG&C has introduced programs to assist the employees in achieving a balanced work-life, which include flexible working hours, employee assistance programs and leave programs. However, no study has been carried out to determine the success of the work-life balance programs at the company. Against this background, the study sought to determine the effects of organizational work-life balance programs on employee job performance at AG&C.

To find out the impact of work-life balance on employee's performance at Ali Gohar & Company Private Limited, as was previously noted, the interest in and importance of work-life balance is increasing. Researchers widely believe that work-life balance is related to wanted outcomes in both the workplace and family areas.

Regardless of this increased interest and these favorable outcomes of work-life balance, some studies have directly related it with results. Also, several researchers have pointed out that work-life balance on employees' attitudes and behaviors is still uncertain and have called for more in-depth research studies to identify what types of performance are related to work-life balance.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

Work-family conflict and family-work conflict play essential roles in moving WLB and the wellbeing of employees. We use two struggles as the two main variables measuring WLB and three variables- family satisfaction, work satisfaction, and psychological distress- to measure employees' wellbeing.

This study focuses on evaluating how these variables narrate to each other to establish the relationship between WLB and the wellbeing of individuals employed in the AG&C. Participants in this research were chosen from AG&C with a different department and included male and female, married, in relationships, and single employees, with and without children.

Healthy Balance habits need to be supported and encouraged in the workplace culture. A strong and supportive culture of the organization enhances the purpose of staying in the organization. (Felicity Asiedu-Appiah, 2013) Concludes that occupational health balance is critical to improving the performance of employees at work and at home.

To get the benefits of work/life in the workplace, it is helpful to have a company policy that encourages employees to look at the business completely differently and support and accept employees as individuals who are put above the workplace. Healthy living programs have increased motivation and work.

STAFF PERFORMANCE:

Each organization should clearly state the effectiveness of the implementation of the performance appraisal system. It is essential to distinguish what it means because if performance cannot be defined, it cannot be measured or managed (Armstrong, 2000). An employee's performance depends on whether or not it results from a particular combination of skill, effort, and opportunity.

However, estimates can be made with the results or results produced (Ferris et al., 1998). Performance is defined as a record of the effects produced in a particular job or activity over a while. (Bernadrdin and Russel, 1998).

JOB SATISFACTION

Job Satisfaction Work satisfaction also refers to an employee's general attitude toward their job. Job satisfaction is used to describe how satisfied a person is with his work. Many organizations develop training programs and benefits packages to develop loyal employees. The longer the employees worked for the organization, the more valuable the employees became. Satisfaction with work is the most critical aspect of organizational ethics (Ms. Chetna Pandey, 2012).

ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT

Organizational Commitment (Maria Batool, 2013) concludes that job stress and organizational commitment are negatively correlated, but there is no significant negative relationship between low variability (effective performance, continuous and consistent commitment). They are more committed to the organization as a result of that higher productivity.
