According to sources and the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli forces attacked the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza after besieging and shelling it for many days.
According to a ministry official Ashraf al-Qudra, medical personnel and men and boys were being rounded up by Israeli troops on Tuesday in the hospital's courtyard in Beit Lahiya.

A hospital in Gaza that houses thousands of people has been bombed.
"We fear their arrest, as well as the arrest or killing of the medical teams," he warned, pleading for international assistance.
"We call on the United Nations, the World Health Organization and the International Committee of the Red Cross to act immediately to save the lives of those in the hospital."

The hospital is 'encircled.'
According to the United Nations humanitarian agency OCHA, two mothers were killed when the Kamal Adwan maternity department was attacked on Monday.
"The hospital remains surrounded by Israeli troops and tanks," OCHA stated, adding that it was now housing 65 patients, including 12 children in the intensive care unit and six infants in incubators.
"About 3,000 internally displaced persons remain trapped in the facility and are awaiting evacuation with extreme shortages of water, food and power reported," the statement said.
The situation in Kamal Adwan is disastrous, according to Leo Cans, the director of mission for Palestine at Doctors Without Borders (MSF).
