  The launch of these new features comes as WhatsApp announced earlier this week that it was adding the ability for users to transfer their conversation chat history, photos, videos and voice messages from Android to iPhone via Apple’s Move to iOS app. Prior to this expansion, users only had the option to transfer chats from iPhone to Android. The ability to transfer WhatsApp data from Android to iPhone is rolling out now in beta.

  Although it’s been easy to transfer WhatsApp data from one iPhone to another, or from one Android to another, users have had to find difficult workarounds when moving from Android to iPhone.   Step 1: Users first need to go to open WhatsApp and head to the settings section by tapping on the three-dotted button, situated on the top right corner of the screen.

  Step 2: Now, tap again on Settings > Account.

  Step 3: You will find the Privacy option on the top and you just need to tap on that. Here, you will find all the Last Seen and Profile Picture options.

• Step 4: Tap on Last Seen and you will get four options. You need to tap on the third option, which is called My Contacts except. Once you do that, WhatsApp will display a list of contacts.

• Note: WhatsApp only shows those contacts that are saved in your phone’s address book and not the unknown users. The platform will, anyway, show your last seen and profile picture only to those who are on your contact list and not to unsaved numbers, whether you choose "My Contacts” or ”My Contacts except" option.

  Step 5: Just select all the contacts from whom you want to hide your last seen and profile picture. After this, just tap again on the green tickmark icon, situated at the bottom of the app. You are all set now.

  Note: The process is similar for the Profile Picture option as well. WhatsApp will display a number in the Last Seen and Profile photo section to let you know how many contacts you have excluded.
