Here I am sharing some experienced tips, which can help perform your PET in the best way.
First of all, I want to suggest you take fruits and some lite food. Because you have to stay there till evening. And at every ground, there is no guarantee that there will be arrangements for such. So, take some bananas, apples, etc. These are helpful to keep you hydrated and energetic. Keep in mind that most of the grounds are located isolated from the main habitation, so there would not be any shop to buy fruits, etc. Therefore, I advised you to take this foody stuff from last night's stoppage. Candidates are cooperative, so, in case you have not taken. They share fruits ect, and it had happened in our case. CISF SSG ground is a large one. So, it takes 15-20 min. to find the entry gate. There are establishments of these all forces like CRPF, ITBP, etc. That’s why I was confused about real ground and had to travel 3-4 km extra. So, if you take an auto, don’t let auto go as you see a gate of ground. Because there are many gates and entry is only allowed from one gate. Fact is, these gates are located 1 to 1.5 km from each other. So, to avoid any problem, ask at the gate for your real entry gate. Transportation problems may occur, so be cautious about such happenings.
Check for all documents- In many cases, people have been sent back and given a new date only because they haven’t proper DAF. Required DAF should be taken. DAF must have your sign, and it must be the same as you have submitted, not a preview DAF. So, if you don’t have DAF, you may message UPSC, which can provide you a copy of DAF. Furthermore, if you belong to any category, please take the certificate in a proper format. I have seen, a candidate has to call home and took his new updated OBC certificate, and the official has emphasized to see proper format certificate. However, he was allowed to see on WhatsApp. All required documents should be taken there if all certificates are available. In rare conditions, they may allow you to produce a missing certificate during an interview. For this, you have to give an undertaking.
Try not to be late- We saw candidates coming late. 30min delay doesn’t affect anything because people are just filling their PET booklet and verifying documents. However, A candidate came 1-1.30hrs late. At that time, we all were long at the long jumping stage. He was allowed to do all things. In this condition, we noticed that the time gap to take a rest was less than other candidates in the group. So, avoiding a delay can provide you a proper rest between tasks. Usually, time gas between 100 m and 800m running was 10-15min, between 800m and long jump it varies from 10 to 20 min and between long jump and shot put around 20 min. The long jump takes time, as people are given 3 chances.
