HOW TO GIVE MULTIPLE LINKS IN INSTAGRAM BIO
Content creators and every small and large business found Instagram as a boon to their business promotion. It is an open space where anyone can showcase what they were and contact people of their choice. We have heard of many artists born in these pandemic situations and found reputation through Instagram.
But there is an issue both the content creators and business people face in creating bio on Instagram. There is the option to give a website; we can add only one website; this affects different people in different ways.
Content creators have limitations in displaying their talents through Instagram alone. For example, a writer can display his work through Instagram posts, reels, or stories. But if they want to sell them through websites like kindle and advertise through Instagram, they can provide the link to just one shopping site.
In case of multi-talented people who want to introduce his presence in more than one place, say they want to show his photography through Pinterest and sell his books through the Amazon Kindle store, he would have to think hard and choose one of these platforms and share the link in Instagram bio as only one link can be shared at a time.
In the case of business accounts on Instagram, if the business person wants to introduce his customers to different websites or if he wants to take them to their entire social media platform, Instagram limits that to a single link.
Think you are a blogger/YouTuber, who uses your Instagram account to promote your content, what will you do? Talking in the usual sense (as I am both a Blogger and YouTuber), we will make an attractive post introducing our latest blog/YouTube video with a caption CHECK LINK ON BIO. Don’t we? Yes. Each time we update our website link in the bio, we will write CHECK LINK ON BIO! The readers who see our older post will check the link on the bio and feel sad to find a blog/video only on the latest topic!
Now, how to overcome this dilemma?
This dilemma doesn’t have a direct solution. But I would like to share a trick that I often use to overcome this limitation of Instagram. The hero in this story is a blogger, the blogging site that acts with the support of Google and is easily accessible to all android users. If you have an android smartphone with you, do follow these simple steps:
1.Set up a blogger account.
If you are someone with an android phone, setting up a blogger account is something much easier. Search for bloggers in Chrome. It will take you to a website, where you will be asked to set a unique blog name and URL. Simple. There you can edit your account, and after the setup is all done, a page you can start creating posters will open. Create your first blog by pressing the '+' icon.
2.Copy all your links & create an intro page!
Now, start editing the blog post you created after switching to the desktop site in chrome. Give your Instagram account name as the blog title, a brief description of your/your business, and a blog banner. Copy all the links you want to add to your Instagram bio to your clipboard/keyboard. Start listing down all links you want to share, and at the end of the description, add a link by clicking the 'link' icon that you see on the toolbar above. Type on the column text to appear (in the dialogue box that appears) as click here. For example, " to check my Facebook page, click here!", where the click here would have the link! Similarly, list down all your links.
3.Copy and share the only one link!
After completing the text, click on the update option before you leave. A message will be shown that your blog is saved. Now you can exit to the home page and from their copy link to clipboard and add it to your Instagram bio(website).
Why not linktree?
There are many websites like link tree, which provide the same facility. But many experts don't suggest them as they may ask for subscriptions and may even have some hidden agendas!
