How to get the love of humanity.
It not only points to the love we can feel for other human beings. It also refers to the quality of love that makes us human.
We demonstrate philanthropy through a voluntary form of self-sacrifice that demonstrates practical benevolence for others.
Celebrate the generosity and self-sacrifice of kings as an important step towards civilization. It brings to mind the ultimate fruit of humanity: the civilization of the human race.
The goal of civilization is to turn isolated people into a collective in order to maintain and improve the quality of life of everyone.
Success in the Hereafter depends on a lifetime record of charitable deeds for the less fortunate.
The Egyptian gods expected anyone who wished to die to swear that he would never refuse to feed the hungry, drink the dry, or clothe the raw. So here we are looking at maintaining humanity and improving one's quality of life.
Later, in ancient Greek mythology, the spirit of humanity begins with Prometheus, a Titan, whose name means
Prometheus predicted the destruction of the human race. Out of his "humanity-loving character", he gave humanity two gifts (which "he stole from the gods") that will help us survive: fire and hope. These two gifts work in harmony: with fire, man can have hope. Hopefully, humans can use fire constructively.
One could argue that fire and hope are the two causes of all the cultural advances that human civilization has produced. For example, without the fire of electricity and the optimism of the inventors, there would be no light bulbs, not to mention the Internet.
What Prometheus apparently liked (in his prophecy) was the ability of humans to use the benefits of his generosity - fire and hope - for the sustainability and development of humanity.
When we show philanthropy, we continue the work or carry the torch of Prometheus. We raise the individual recipient with benefit and hope, and we elevate the whole of humanity through the individual's growing ability to contribute to the sustainability and development of civilization.
When the recipient of philanthropy in return demonstrates philanthropy, he carries forward the "torch of Prometheus", maintaining and advancing the light of civilization and its benefits to humanity.
Humanity can be considered as the main root and fruit of civilization.
The Platonic Academy of the 15th Century defined philanthropy as a state of well-educated habits, born of the love of humanity, which is beneficial to mankind.
If we can understand "civilization", then it means the human endeavor to move our selfishness in the determination to develop the whole of humanity, based on an understanding of the interconnectedness of all of us. As we help move forward, we help move everyone forward, and civilization survives.
Civilization is a transcendental act, a transcendental act, which unites mankind in an interconnected network that results in the protection, security and benefit of all.
In the absence of philanthropy, civilization collapses. The individual focuses entirely on personal gain and selfish self-satisfaction. This self-serving attention completely deprives the individual of the benefit of the cooperation and partnership of others, resulting in a stagnant, ancient, savage, limited existence.
Civilization makes teamwork and time bound (human ability based on information and knowledge transmitted from one generation to another) possible. Its absence severely restricts human adaptation and fulfillment of human potential and negates the possibility of cultural development.
By giving what we need to provide hope, sustenance and betterment to others, we sustain civilization and contribute to its continued development.
Humanitarianism is basically something that takes the human race above the animal level, promotes cultural development and higher human development and provides important support for our sustainability as a race.
Humanitarianism can be described primarily as the essence of human survival.
In the absence of civilization, the world becomes a battlefield in which there are no principles of justice. Then comes the reign of violence and chaos. No one is safe.
When we practice philanthropy, the basic result is twofold:
1 We make ourselves civilized.
2 We support the survival and development of civilization. Namely: of the human race.
When Prometheus showed philanthropy, he showed the Greek example of the spirit of bravery: self-sacrifice for survival and the good of others.
In this way, he expressed his belief in the inseparable unity of the human race. The spirit of philanthropy arises from this belief, and therefore, in terms of definition, philanthropy can be seen as a hero.
The spirit of unity continues to promote humanity
