I’m a big believer in getting your body ready for the day ahead by having at least two or three hours of sleep to give you enough time to prepare and get everything done. Having an extra hour or so between rest periods helps prevent fatigue with the next morning!
There are some things that people forget, such as how important it is to have an early breakfast for muscle building. In order to build muscle mass you must gain muscle mass while you sleep so that when you wake up, there is already plenty of mass. As well as eating an early breakfast, I suggest eating one or more cups of vegetables and protein before bed. This gives your body an easy way to get all the necessary nutrients needed to build muscle. Also try not to eat after 3 PM because you can over-indulge and end up feeling bloated and less toned than you should be. Eating too much water may also make you feel like you need to pee too often but a good night’s sleep will tell you otherwise!
Also, exercise! The key is not just any workout but doing exercises that challenge your muscles first then move on from them into recovery mode while still moving. So, if you want to change your shape, then first get through any resistance, then move onto the cardio part where you can challenge yourself but don’t take yourself out of balance. You can start with lighter weights like dumbbells or light resistance bands but try to do this every week to improve your fitness level. For example, start with squats, planks, push-ups, running. These are all great choices to get started with because they increase your endurance so you can get going quickly and build as you go.
Lastly, get lots of sleep! No amount of sleep will be enough to build muscle mass for sure but making those 30 minutes to an hour each night help ensure you don't have very little after bedtime. Make sure to wake up soon enough because once you're in this cycle it will become habitual. Not only does it help prevent soreness which can lead to injury but also increases lean muscle mass where needed. There's no point in waiting until your legs are tired to begin working out even though you might feel like you're getting lazy. Your goal shouldn't be to finish the whole session rather just to complete your set of movements. However, if your arms or legs are really hurting and you can’t do a movement, get up and walk around while getting some air. It might seem daunting at first but once you get used to it it becomes easier.
There are many different types of workouts and routines that can help get you looking and feeling muscular. A proper diet is key too and don’t think you can’t get the same results on a low protein diet as well! I’ve found that it works wonders on my physique so I keep adding these kinds of meals to my day. If you like the idea of trying out new diets, talk to me about your experience or find someone who can guide you through them. Just make sure to read our reviews and see what we thought. Have fun trying new exercises. Do what makes you happy and make sure to listen to your body. Try to listen to your cravings and not just go with whatever society thinks you should eat. We live in the 21st century now and it’s nice to be able to control what you eat without having a massive cheat day. But I’d definitely consider myself lucky to have the ability to gain muscle while being fitter! Good luck out there.
Happy exercising!
