Today's entrepreneurs understand the benefit of having their own websites. Increasingly, small-business owners set up sites to sell their goods and services. Regularly writing blogs, tutorials and articles is a good way to provide information to potential customers and increase sales. To accomplish this, it is necessary to increase the web traffic coming to a site to get more article views. Follow these steps to improve the number of article views on your business's website.
1.
Ensure all content is search engine optimized. Search engine optimization (SEO) refers to how effectively a search engine such as Google finds websites and content. Increasing article views requires getting more online traffic to the article, and the higher the article is ranked on a Google search, the more likely it is that an online user will click on the link to view the article. Users and owners of other websites may also choose to link to well-written articles containing useful information. Links from high-quality and relevant websites are valuable in improving the search engine ranking of an article and lead to increased article views.
2.
Craft a keyword-rich and engaging title. A keyword is a word or phrase that a person enters into a search bar. Search engines see these keywords and trawl the Internet to find content that matches the search query. The user is presented with a page of search results and clicks on the title that most appeals to her. Attract new visitors to your site and encourage article views by using words such as "tips," "tricks," "secrets" or "best" in your article titles in addition to the keyword.
3.
Market your articles and expertise online in forums and discussion groups. Taking part in these groups establishes your position as an authority in your field and increases the likelihood that others will search out, read and link to your articles. Answer questions, provide useful feedback and advice, and include links to articles in your signature or in the body of your discussion.
4.
Use social marketing sites such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest to market your article to a wide audience. Keywords in descriptions and titles can be identified as a hashtag by using the "#" key. This allows your article to show up in social media searches for that term or keyword. Articles connected to current events or popular topics do well on the social media sites and show your knowledge is up-to-date and relevant. Including share buttons to social media sites at the bottom of each article makes it easy for readers to share the link to the article and is a good way to get more article views for your business. Include hashtags to link your work with popular topics so that more people can find your articles.
Be friendly: follow and interact with others in your field, comment on their posts and start conversations.
Build a community by responding to tweets, comments and questions.
Add images to draw attention to your posts.
Consider time zones: if you want your post to be read by people in the US, Europe or Asia (for example), time your post to coincide with their tea breaks and lunches, or schedule multiple posts to maximize the likelihood of more people seeing your research
