1. Hot oil massage

You need to start taking care of your scalp and the roots of your hair to stimulate growth. A hot oil massage will help to not only condition hair, but also promote hair growth when gently rubbed onto the scalp. You can use olive oil, argon oil or coconut oil and heat it up before massaging it on your scalp. Gently massage the oil into your scalp for up to 10 minutes before rinsing the oil with warm water. You can also allow the oil to soak into your hair for an additional 30 minutes.

2. Use a deep conditioner

To keep your hair damage free, use a deep conditioner. Since damaged hair does not grow as well as healthy hair, you will have to make sure that you repair your hair follicles to increase the rate of hair growth using a deep conditioner. According to your hair type, choose a hair conditioner and apply it post shampooing your hair and then rinse it with cold water.

3. Use hair mask

Use a hair mask to stimulate hair growth. You can easily whip up a hair mask using egg white and aloe vera to give your hair a healthier appearance. Mix an egg white with fresh aloe vera and use this mask to cover your hair and scalp. Leave it for 15-20 minutes, and then rinse it out with cool water.

Apple cider vinegar works wonders on hair to use it for hair growth, mix three parts apple cider vinegar with one part water. Then transfer it into a spray bottle and when you take a shower, spritz your hair with the vinegar mixture after shampooing your hair. Leave it for a couple of minutes before rinsing it with water.

Though you might find dozens of shampoos and conditioners to choose from, you need to use the right one according to your hair type. One of the consistent ingredients of hair shampoo and conditioner is silicone, which actually blocks out the moisture and nutrient. This hinders your hair growth, so try to opt for a shampoo and conditioner that is silicone-free and one that has natural ingredients. Or you can also use a leave in conditioner.

6. Wash your hair with cold water

Always use cold water to wash your hair instead of hot water. Hot showers will make your hair more brittle and prone to damage. So always opt for cold water to wash your hair, it will help to trap the moisture and stop your hair from becoming dry as the cold water closes the hair shaft and helps to trap in the moisture.

7. Brushing your hair

Brushing your hair stimulates your scalp and is good for increasing hair growth. Brushing your hair thoroughly spreads the natural oils throughout the shaft of each strand of hair. Do brush your hair twice a day, once in the morning and then before going to bed. But do not brush too much or else it can pull out your hair. Also, never brush your hair when it is wet, because it will lead to breakage.
