In India, people of 18 years or above are currently being vaccinated; if you are 18 years of age or above, you can get the corona vaccine.
You can get the corona vaccine in two ways:
- Online
- Offline
Online
Registration
To get the corona vaccine, first of all, you have to register yourself, for you go to the cowin website and after going on the main page of the website, click on the Register/Sign In option appearing on the right side, after clicking, another website of self-registration will open in front of you.
Here enter the mobile number with which you want to register yourself correctly, and after entering, click on the option with Get OTP; after clicking, an OTP message will come on the entered mobile number, enter that OTP within the running time, and after entering, click on Verify and Proceed.
After clicking, a new page will open in front of you, in which +Add Member and comment will appear below it, read the comment thoroughly and then click on the option of +Add Member, after clicking the Register for Vaccination page will open.
Here you enter your personal information like your photo identity card, photo id number, name, gender, and year of birth; after entering, click on the Add option shown below; after clicking on now, you have been successfully registered.
You will get confirmation of completion of registration through a message on the mobile number entered by you; if you want to add more members, then click on the +Add Member option shown below. After clicking, repeat the above-mentioned methods. Keep in mind that only four members can be registered with one mobile number; apart from the coin website, you can register through aarogya setu and umang app.
Schedule
After the registration is complete, to book the appointment, click on Schedule the option shown on the right side of the below the name of the registered member or members; after clicking, the Slot Search page will open.
Here you can find your nearest vaccination center through pin code or district or map; here, you will get two types of vaccine available, one for paid and the other for free, choose the vaccine and vaccination date according to you, after choosing, click on the selected vaccine slot.
After clicking, the Appointment Confirmation page will open, in which you choose the time according to you and click on the confirm option appearing on the bottom right side; after clicking, the page of Appointment Successful will open, here you have to click on the Download option shown on the top right-hand side.
After clicking, your appointment slip will be downloaded in pdf; in this slip, your complete information related to vaccination will be available, do not share it with anyone else. Confirmation of the appointment booking will be done through a message on your registered mobile number, do not share this with anyone.
Reschedule
If you have completed your registration and appointment process and you are unable to visit the vaccination center on the chosen date and time due to any reason, then you go to the self-registration website and enter the registered mobile number and click on the Get OTP, after clicking an OTP message will come on the entered mobile number, enter that OTP within the running time, and click on Verify and Proceed.
After clicking, you will be login with your registered mobile number, now the person whose date and time you want to change here click on the Reschedule option appearing on the right-hand side below that person's name, after clicking, the slot search page will open again, here you choose another date and time according to you, after choosing click on the selected vaccine slot.
After clicking, the page of Appointment Confirmation will open again, in which you choose the other time according to you and click on the Confirm option appearing at the bottom right; after clicking, the page of Appointment Successful will open again.
Here you have to click on the Download option shown on the top right-hand side; after clicking, your second appointment slip will be downloaded in pdf. You will also get the confirmation of the second appointment booked through a message on your registered mobile number.
First Dose
Before going to the vaccination center, take with you the original photo id card of the chosen one and the mobile phone in which you have received the message that the appointment has been booked. apart from this, you will go well with a mask.
After reaching the vaccination center, maintain social distance and patiently wait for your turn; before getting vaccinated, when it's your turn, you want to ask or want to tell your doctor so you can ask or tell after you have been vaccinated.
You wait at the vaccination center for 30 minutes, if you feel any side effects or any problem at this time, then you must tell the concerned doctor, and if you feel any side effects or any problem after leaving the vaccination center, then you should contact the health help center number 1075.
After your first vaccination is successful, a message of successfully been vaccinated will be available on your registered mobile number; in that message, you will be provided a link to the cowin website; with the help of that link, you can download your provisional certificate of vaccination.
Suppose you have got vaccinated free of cost. In that case, you will be given only a soft copy provisional certificate by the vaccination center. If you got vaccinated by paying, you would be given a hard copy provisional certificate and a soft copy by the vaccination center. Now you have got your first dose of the corona vaccine, keep following the rules even after you've been vaccinated, such as wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and hand sanitizing.
Second Dose
If you have received the first dose of Covaxin, then you can get the second dose of the vaccine between the next 28 to 42 days, if you have received the first dose of Covishield, you can get the second dose between the next 84 to 112 days, and if you have received the first dose of Sputnik V, then you can get the second dose between the next 21 to 90 days.
You do not need to register again to get the second dose of the corona vaccine. Log in to the cowin website with the mobile number you have already registered and repeat the above steps to book a second dose vaccine appointment.
Before going to the vaccination center, take with you the original photo id card of the chosen one, the mobile phone in which you have received the second message that the appointment has been booked, and a provisional certificate. Apart from this, you will go well with a mask.
After completing your second vaccination, a second message of successfully been vaccinated will be available on your registered mobile number; in that message, you will find another link to the cowin website. With the help of that link, you can download your final vaccination certificate.
Keep in mind that the vaccine you have to get in the first dose, you have to get the same vaccine in the second dose such as if you have received the first dose of covaxin so you should get the second dose of the covaxin also, keep following the rules even after you've been vaccinated such as wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and hand sanitizing.
Offline
Suppose you want to get the first dose of the corona vaccine directly by visiting the vaccination center, so for this, first of all. In that case, you have to take an original copy of your photo identity card and take a mobile phone with you to any nearest vaccination center. After reaching there, contact the chief operator of that vaccination center and tell them you haven't already booked an appointment and want to get vaccinated.
If additional vaccines are available at the vaccination center so the vaccination operator will ask you for the original copy of your photo identity card and ask for a correct mobile number and your offline registration after you are told and immediately appointment slot will be booked, this will be confirmed to you through a message on the mobile number specified by you and you can get your vaccine at the same time.
If an additional vaccine is not available at the vaccination center so the vaccination operator can refuse to vaccinate you, this problem occurs mostly for free vaccines at government vaccination centers because those whose appointment is booked in advance they are vaccinated first, in case persons with pre-booked appointments are not present at the vaccination center due to any reason so their vaccine can be given to you as an additional vaccine.
To avoid any kind of problem related to getting vaccinated at the vaccination center, try that you already book an appointment or get done, keep following the rules even after you've been vaccinated, such as wearing a mask, maintaining social distance, and hand sanitizing.
Provisional Or Final Certificate Download
To download the certificate, first, you go to the cowin website. After going on the website's main page, click on the Register/Sign In option on the right side; after clicking, another self-registration website will open in front of you.
Here the mobile number with which you have registered enter that number correctly and after entering, click on the option with Get OTP, an OTP message will be received on the mobile number entered, enter that OTP within the running time, and after entering, click on Verify and Proceed, after clicking, you will be login with your registered mobile number.
Now here, that person whose provisional or final certificate you want to download, click on the certificate option appearing on the right side below that person's name; after clicking, your provisional or final certificate will be downloaded as a soft copy in pdf.
