How To Get Calories Out Of Restaurant Food

I want it to be special when I eat out, as a result I don’t eat out often. You may have seen suggestions about shaving calories in restaurants, but really, do you want to pay higher restaurant prices for luscious salads and plain cooked vegetables? If not, how can you deal with the confusion of eating more calories when you eat out?

Here are seven tips to get calories from restaurant food when ordering your favorites.

1*. *Say no to super sizing. The quantity you ordered is already too large. Stop supersizing, and you will save money. Even better, order dinner, and ask for an extra plate. Most restaurants do this for a dollar or two, and it is well worth it. And then share the meal with your friend, and you share the cost directly. Another option is to order from the so-called "appetite" menu. Two people can order three entries, split one dessert, and get the whole item, and it's still a ton of food!

2*.* Skip the bread and rolls. Many family restaurants still serve bread baskets with your meals. If this is not freshly baked bread or really special bread, skip it. You do not need to fill the usual bread when you are paying good money for the meal. Ask to remove it if you can not resist, but to be clear, you are an adult, you can protest if you want. You can choose not to put the rolls on your plate. Give it a try and see if you can get out of an unusually crowded restaurant.

If you can not skip the rolls, at least skip the butter. That is true. Eat regular whole grain bread has its own flavor.

3*. *Stop ordering drinks. Soft drinks are a big cash cow for restaurants. For a penny, they sell you syrup and carbonated water, and they treat you like they're helping you out by charging you $1.29 for just 64 ounces of soda. ***Start saving those dollars**. Avoid drinks, especially if you order “go”. If you've going to eat it there, ask for water, or at least switch to diet drinks.

4*.* Slow, you eat too fast! What is the rush? Spend your time, enjoy the moment, enjoy the flavors. A big part of learning to stay close to your appetite cues and eating what is truly satisfying is recognizing the subtle cues of hunger. If you reduce it all to five minutes, you will not know when satisfaction is approaching. Notice how many times you chew before taking a bite and swallowing? Once or twice? Try to chew your food and your body will be happier. The more digestion starts in your mouth, not to mention that you will get more pleasure if you delay food.

5*. *Trim visible *** and skin. I know, you really like skin — but you like it, it tastes good, it has to be pure ***. Do you want to be thin, or do you want to eat s ***? You choose. I never eat chicken skins or hang out from the steak, it tastes good or not. If you want even more, you have to decide the value of another delight of delicious taste or the lifetime of carrying the extra 40 pounds. S *** I know it's contrary to the belief of low-carb groups that carbs are good, but I'm lost 80 pounds in 18 years without dieting and I do not eat the visible s *** or skin. Suffice it to say.

6*.* Ask for a doggie bag at the beginning of the meal. As soon as the meal is served, give something to take home tomorrow. Most restaurants in America serve a lot more. There is no law to eat everything. Do this over and over again, and you will soon find that you are getting extra meals from that meal.
