HOW TO GET A JOB IN SERVICE-BASED COMPANIES

Nowadays, getting a career starts with a big mnc’s service-based companies present in India is difficult as looking at the quantity and quality of students graduating every year. There are around 15 lakhs of students who graduate every year in India, and to shine from this large number; you have to have some great knowledge of what you are pursuing.

Currently, in India, big men holding the reputation are TCS (tata consultancy services), Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant. These companies are some of the greatest service-based companies present in India. These companies hire graduates every year through some of their programs or on-campus drives by which they nearly hire many amounts of a student to work with them to get the growth for both the individual and the company.

Companies are looking for individuals who have a good understanding of what they are assigned, that is, the field in which they are graduated. Frankly speaking, the companies don’t expect much from the individuals rather have some basic knowledge. Students with basic knowledge, practical skills, and project knowledge have some greater chances to get placed in one of these companies.

Students from an engineering background that is BE, BTECH students and from IT background that is BSC, BCA Students are the ones who are mainly looking to get them placed in one of these companies.

Companies set some hiring criteria and some processes by which these companies hire graduates. The students need to be eligible to go through with the selection process. Those eligible to attend the drive need to give aptitude tests followed by technical and hr interviews.

My suggestion for the student who is looking to get them placed is this only that you need to be firstly having graduate percentage above 60% because companies set their eligibility criteria this way that the student who has at least 60% in their graduation are only allowed to sit on the drive. And secondly, the final year project is one of the main things you are going to be judged. Hence, you need to have good knowledge of your project, and lastly, don’t try to be over smart there as they only want you to be normal and answer the question simply; they just want basic answers from your side. Also, I can say the student who has some internship done has a good impact already done in the interviewer's mind, so try to do one of the internships done if you get the opportunity; otherwise, it's ok if you do not have one. But then you have been strong in explaining your project.

Concluding that be yourself at the time of the interview, don’t be over smart, take time to think about your answer and then say it. They are there to hire you, so you need to be prepared. Don’t go unprepared and introduced yourself properly.
