Since the concept was first introduced in the 1930s or 1930s, the use of smart torches to assist police and military personnel in targeted detection before firing has saved many lives and made military and civilian operations much easier. Although it is now commonplace, when the use of these lights was first introduced it was a great new strategy. In the years since then, subtle lighting has come a long way and now the technology of bulb, battery, and various cases allows for one-handed or hand-free lighting in many very different situations. Police Use The first inventors of the tactical torch were police departments that needed an easy way to identify the suspects at low light while still being able to fire a shotgun if necessary. Special handles and handguns were made, allowing the police to see exactly what the gun was aimed at. As the strategic gear has improved over the years so have these lights; Most of the smart flashlights used by police use LEDs to allow them to live in an unprecedented way using a small battery, while using custom-designed cases that are resistant to damage and can be physically attached to the gun itself to allow the officer to have a free hand or use both hands on the gun. Military Use As a police force, soldiers have a great need for special lighting that will not interfere with the soldier's activities. Tactical military torches can come in a variety of styles, some of which are similar to the ones used by the police and some are designed for special use in mind. Many strategic military flashlights can be attached to clothing instead of guns, allowing soldiers to have a broader view of the area while keeping their hands free to carry their rifle or other weapons. Many of these lights will have special filters or in some cases special bulbs that will allow them to illuminate the area, so they can see at night or infrared mirrors without giving their space a bright glow. Athletes and outsiders Smart torches and similar tactical gears are not just used by soldiers and police, of course. Many hunters, athletes, and outsiders will use the same object when hunting early in the morning, allowing them to roam the forested areas without carrying a larger torch or lamp. This can be especially helpful when setting up a game reserve or establishing a hunting ground in low-lying areas, as they will be able to free their hands to work while making sure they have enough light to see what they are doing. A number of these dedicated players will use bright filters or special lights similar to those used by the military to avoid disturbing wildlife; light is transformed into an invisible shadow for deer or other animals that may be hunting. These trick lights can also help prevent legal issues that might be caused by large lights, as their small size makes it almost impossible to use a game of illegal exposure to impress.
