How To Fix Your Lifted Jeep Cherokee S Death Wobble

If you are driving a Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee and are considering a suspension proposal, you may want to think twice. Unfortunately, I was forced to read this. I bought a brand new 2001 Jeep Cherokee a few years ago, and I almost got installed on the Pro Pro 3 lifting machine with 32 x 11.50 r 15 Super Swamper TSL tires. After a few months of my good ride, I began to feel what jeep lovers know about “death is shaky.”

 

 

The wobble is basically when you drive your raised jeep on the road, and the front starts to shake violently. It can happen at any speed, even though it’s mostly over 40 mph anyway, and it’s a scary experience, especially for those who see it for the first time. Now it doesn't throw you off the road or anything ... the front is shaking. And the only way to stop it is to slow down and pull over. So it was not always easy to get used to it. But with the increase, it seems to be gaining momentum.

After driving at least one death a day for about three months, I decided to go into the store and see what the problem was. My new stuff was working brilliantly. Then one day, while driving on the I-70 over the mountains, I hit a hole and came back with a limp. For the next few months, I felt terrified every time I hit a hole, cracked, or even met in a line.

Back at the store, the boys, who apparently did not know me six months earlier, offered me the same suggestion as the first time… almost word for word, too. My shocks, track bar, pitman arm, and control arms were all shot up and had to be fitted with some "better and stronger ones." The boys did not take the time to check that my parts were the same as those on the shelf. In fact, the parts they wanted to give me at the time were probably the same Pro Comp items they had originally changed. This time, I realized that I would have to take matters into my own hands.

 

 

I sat with my friend in the driver's seat of my jeep and shook the steering wheel back and forth to re-shake the death so that I could look at it from the other side. After only two minutes, it became clear to me where the problem was. All my parts were going well. The tremor was from a frame train attached to an axle.

 

 

What was happening was simple: My tires, as road tires, often do, kept running out of balance. So, when I hit a pothole hole or uneven treadmill, or at a very high speed, the tires began to loosen and fight back and forth. This is probably how Fred Flintstone felt about driving through those rocky reefs. The anti-axle tires cause the axle to rotate back and forth, causing the frame rail to shake. So death is loathsome. Now relaxation
