The Basic Tips

1: Using SMS

Send an SMS with the word "reset" together with your smartcard number to 38882.

By using the system, you are sending messages to DStv with a view to clearing the error message and bringing the service back to normal.

2: Using USSD

To use this system, just dial *288*2#. Then select 1 for DStv. After this, input the smartcard number and surname so as to confirm your account. After this, go ahead and select the option that says "Fix errors." Then select the error you want to fix and confirm.

After the completion of the steps given to you above, the decoder will be refreshed and start functioning well.

Select the error type and confirm.

After completing the steps above, your decoder will be refreshed.
