Liam Scar rot has put an end to a situation in which his health was going from bad to worse. We tell you what he has done to improve and transform his body Until Liam Scar rot was 17 years old, he didn't know what it was to be out of shape. He spent his days outdoors, playing cricket and being part of a football team since he was very young. His parents always cooked healthy meals at home and if he needed something sweet, the fruit was always his best option, along with going to the gym five days a week. But bad luck knocked on his door and he broke his leg at work casting steel mesh in a metal factory. "When I was recovering, they fired me and said that I was useless because I was on crutches. That made me very mentally tense, and I fell into depression. You could say it was the beginning of the end," Scar rot recalls. Change is a mental thing. If you can win the battle in your head, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. The humor, self-esteem, and healthy habits that I had during adolescence sank to the core after the accident. During his recovery, he gained nearly 30 pounds from lack of exercise, which worsened his overall health. Feeling alone made his diet worse, and he ate fatty and junk food, more comfortable but less healthy: hamburgers, fries, soft drinks, alcohol, cakes, and ice cream, consuming more than 4,000 calories a day and sometimes several portions in one sitting. In just one year, just turning 18, Liam reached 137 kg. It wasn't until five years later that Scar rot found himself immersed in a relationship that gave him another kind of butterfly in his stomach. He was happy to be able to take care of someone, to share beautiful moments during his day-to-day life, but being with another person made him realize how huge he was. He wanted to be a boyfriend someone could be proud of, so he started with small changes. She started writing down everything she ate and began to focus on portion sizes. That and taking a walk now and then helped him lose about 22 kilos, although it fluctuated constantly for 3 years. I'd lose a little, get it back, and then go back down again. It was an endless battle. Frustrated that he could never lose 250 pounds, he created a Facebook group called "Fitness Buddies for Everyone" where he could connect with other people who wanted to lose weight and go for walks with him. This helped him a lot, but he ended up hating having to depend on someone to motivate him and decided to go for a walk for 40 minutes every day even if no one could join him. "People ask me for help and see everything I'm achieving, it makes me feel so good that I couldn't stop moving forward," he says. Go for a walk A small and simple exercise like walking every day helped him lose weight significantly: 40 minutes of slow walking turned into short runs of the same duration. Over time, he got tired of seeing the same place, so he decided to join the gym and hire a personal trainer. "I knew I had to take this step to take a more difficult task. This challenge was going to require me to give 110% of myself with squats, planks, or abdominal." Currently, Scarlett, goes to the gym every other day, a total of four. Every Monday and Saturday he boxes and runs up and down stairs doing sprints with his colleagues in his Facebook group. He works out with his trainer on Wednesday, where he does a cardio circuit and 45 minutes of strength training. On Fridays, he keeps the runs light and does abdominal exercises, although his preferred plan is to do 'burpees' (tests of agility, coordination, and exercise). "No matter how often you do it, it's always a challenge," he says. But physical exercise isn't the only thing Scar rot does. He has completely abandoned his greatest weakness: sugar, alcohol, and dessert were no longer a daily occurrence. Homemade protein-packed meals, vegetables, and whole grains were his new way of life. Now Liam's body is changing by the minute. He is 60 kilos slimmer and his waist is 60 centimeters smaller. And while the physical changes have helped him tremendously, he believes seeing a therapist is also very important in getting through this big change and overcoming his depression in order to reach his goals. "I had to keep telling myself and push myself to do it and keep going. It's a mental thing. If you can win the battle in your head, you can achieve anything you set your mind to," Liam concludes.
