How to enjoy our leisure time with useful hobbies/activity:

Free time is often hard to come by these days. With everything from work to meetings constantly demanding your time, it can often seem like months have passed since you could have stopped and breathed.

This free time gives us opportunities to do things we've always wanted to do or like to do more depending on our individual circumstances. I think it makes sense for us to be productive at this time and do things that are meaningful to us.

First on the list is where you should start.

I love nothing more than to immerse myself in a book, to fully concentrate on the book, its characters and its plot without distractions. Now we have the option. Books exercise the brain, build our vocabulary, reduce stress and also boost imagination. Whether you prefer fiction or nonfiction, buy some books and start reading more this week. There really is no excuse because you can buy used books for next to nothing on Amazon. Remember, if you prefer audio, audiobooks may be the way forward for you.

Tracking your thoughts, activities, and learning is always a good idea—and highly productive.

You can look back on this time and process your memories or even process your thoughts on the day or week that has passed. You can do it privately on your computer, mobile, or even better, your laptop. Consider taking it a step further and starting a personal blog that translates these daily experiences into weekly or monthly posts that others can read and learn from. Either way, putting pen to paper once a day can be 15 minutes well spent.

Do a little home organization

I have a very strong love relationship with home organization. I like having an organized home, but I don't always like how to get it organized, especially when I've let my cleaning and organizing duties run for too long and I'm faced with another mess in the house.

However, even if you only have 10 minutes, you can still use this small amount of time to give your home a quick clean.

Set a timer and make it a challenge for everyone in the house, whoever has the cleanest room or whoever has picked up and put away (in the right places) the most things before the timer goes off. winner.

Or just take everyone out for ice cream afterwards, that's always a good idea.

Learn a new hobby

Maybe you've always wanted to learn how to crochet and never had the time. Maybe you wanted to learn ballroom dancing (Youtube is a great teacher) or maybe you wanted to learn a new card game or trick.

Use this free time to pick up a new hobby, even if it's something you've always wanted to try, but after today you probably never will. Go ahead and do that one thing you've always wanted to do.

It could be just a hobby or something you just learned about and it piqued your interest. Take the time now to explore it, find books in the library, and find articles online to learn more about something that interests you.

Be crafty

Get crafty by picking up a brush, pencil, sewing needle or hook and spend some time doing something you enjoy.

Do you feel like you haven't done something you enjoy for a long time? Go ahead and give yourself permission to do it now.

Don't feel like you took a little time. You've been busy, you deserve some time.

Play cards

Even if you are alone, you can learn to play a new card game. Solitaire is just one of the many card games you can play alone.

Playing cards will not only help you pass the time, but it will also exercise your brain to keep it sharp and help you focus.

Plan a coffee date with an old or new friend

Do you have that one person that you always say, “Should we really go to lunch sometime? but never go with?

Or maybe you met someone new this week and thought you'd like to get to know them better - what better time to reach out than now?

You don't have to have them over for coffee right away if you want to use your free time just to relax, but you can use this time to call them and set up a coffee date in a few days.

Write a letter

When was the last time you took a pen and paper and wrote an old-fashioned letter?

Choose a family member or friend who you know would like to receive something in the mail, and then write them a letter.

If it's been a while since you've spoken to this person, take the time to recap what's been going on in your life since you last spoke, then put it in a stamped envelope and send it off.

 Make your own Diary

Scrapbooking can be extremely expensive if you buy all the bells and whistles that come with scrapbooking (like ready-made scrapbooks that you just put pictures in). To make scrapbooking more affordable, do it yourself.

Instead of spending a fortune at the store, use things like construction paper and other craft supplies you have at home to make scrapbook decorations.

You can also cut out pictures from a magazine or find printable pictures online for your scrapbook.

Take an online course

If you want to expand your knowledge in a certain area but don't want to leave your house, do a quick Google search for online courses on the specific topic you want to learn more about.

You can even find some free online courses to get you started.

Learn to plan and prepare meals

Meal planning and preparation probably isn't something you get excited about (I am!), but it can save you so much time and money over time that it's worth learning, even if you don't really want to.

Who knows, if you give it a try, you might realize that it really isn't as bad as you once thought. Then when you go grocery shopping and realize how much money you've saved, there's a good chance you'll be hooked.Go ahead and pick up your trusty old cookbook or find a new recipe online and bake or cook something new (or old).

It's a great way to waste time in a productive way, and you'll end up with a delicious treat to eat when you're done.

Even if you've never been much of a baker or cook, give it a try and see if it's something you enjoy. If you end up not enjoying it, you don't have to do it again, but it doesn't hurt to try

Returning Telephone Calls

Do you have a list of people you need to call but haven't been able to find the time lately? Take your list along with a pen and paper, jot down important notes and return some phone calls.

 Clean out your inbox

Use this free time to thoroughly clean out your inbox. Over time, email inboxes can fill up with an overwhelming amount of sales emails and newsletters.

Create folders and sort all your emails into the appropriate folders, then unsubscribe from any emails you no longer wish to receive.

Our online lives can be so cluttered that it helps to create some order in your online presence.

Put important dates on your calendar

Maybe someone recently got married but you haven't had a chance to put their anniversary on the calendar yet, or maybe there's a new member of your family and you haven't had a chance to put their birthday on the calendar yet.

This is also a good time to go through the entire calendar. White out any dates or notes you no longer need, add important birthdays, anniversaries and other events you also need to keep track of.

Start the gardening

I find gardening a relaxing way to clear my head. If you have a garden, take some time outside by yourself and get rid of all those pesky weeds in your garden.

If you don't have a garden yet but want one, you can use this time to create a garden plot or plan where you want your future garden to go, how big it will be, whether you will do it in raised beds or on the ground, and what kinds of things you will plant in your gardens.

Spend some "you" time.

Spend your free time doing something you enjoy, whether it's an at-home spa day you treat yourself to, watching a movie you've been wanting to watch for a while, or just sitting back and relaxing.

Whatever you do that you enjoy and relax, do it and don't worry about the other pressing demands of the day for now.its very important.

Take out the recycling

If you have a large pile of recycled material in your house or garage, you can use these few minutes to bring it to the bottle warehouse and make some money.

Then you can go for a quick coffee with the money you just made from recycling or stash it away for a rainy day.

 Start the challenge

Starting a challenge is a great way to be productive in your spare time, but keep in mind that you'll need to find ways to incorporate the challenge into your daily life from today until you complete it.

You can choose something like a calming challenge (like this one) to do over the course of a few days, or you can choose a reading challenge or any other type of challenge that fits your personality.

Make something special for teatime highty

No matter what time of day it is, if you're wondering what to do with your free time, starting by making something special is always a good use of your time.

Even if you were planning on making frozen pizza for teatime, do a quick search on Pinterest or Google for some easy homemade teatime recipes and make yourself a nice homemade pizza and lots of snacks.

Even if you won't have much time to prepare dinner at dinner time, you can still make a homemade dinner by starting your meal prep now. Prepare everything you can now - cook the meat, chop the vegetables and make the salad, make the garlic bread, and when it's dinner time, all you have to do is mix it all up and heat it up.
