The results of the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for December 2020 and June 2021 have been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates can check their results at ugcnet.nta.nic.in, the official website.

NTA conducted Phase I of the UGC-NET between November 20 and December 5, 2021, Phase II between December 24 and 27, and Phase III between January 4 and 5, 2022 through the Computer Based Test (CBT) method for 81 subjects between December 2020 and June 2021. There were a total of 12,66,509 candidates that enrolled for the tests, with 6,71,288 of them showing up.

2. Click the UGC NET result link on the homepage.

3. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth, then click "Submit."

4. On the screen, the UGC NET result scoreboard will appear.

5. Take a printout of the document for future reference.

Introduction

The National Eligibility Test (NET) is carried out on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for eligibility for an Assistant Professor Chair, Junior Research Fellowship, or both, for Indian Universities and Colleges.

In June 2018, the CBSE carried out the NET in 84 subjects in 91 cities across the country. Since December 2018, the UGC-NET has been carried out by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) award and/or eligibility for the Assistant Professor position depends on the candidate's overall performance on UGC-NET Document-I and Document-II. Applicants who qualify only for the Assistant Professor position will not be considered for the JRF award. Candidates who qualify for the Assistant Professor Eligibility Test are governed by the rules and regulations for hiring Assistant Professors from the corresponding universities/colleges/state governments, as applicable.

UGC-NET takes place twice a year. Due to the postponement of the December 2020 UGC-NET due to COVID-19, the June 2021 UGC-NET schedule has been postponed. To regularize the UGC-NET exam cycles, the National Examination Agency (NTA), with the agreement of the UGC, merged the UGC-NET cycles of December 2020 and June 2021 to be carried out together in the CBT modality. Therefore, the application process is reopened for new applicants to complete and submit their forms.

The NTA has also revealed the UGC NET 2021 subject and category cut-offs, as well as the final answer key.
