The stress response is the body's defense mechanism to risk. We find certain situations in our daily lives when we try to avoid or fight them, fighting or fleeing, called the stress response.
Our body undergoes physical and mental changes during the stress response. Our heart rate increases, muscles tighten, and breathing rate increases. When there is a survival challenge, one can do what does not happen under normal circumstances.
You are driving along a highway when you suddenly see an electric wire across the road in the distance. Your stress response informs you that you have taken the appropriate steps to protect yourself from danger.
You apply the brakes, park the car safely on the sidewalk, and wait until the road is clear. The pressure exerted in such cases is ordinary, necessary, and lifesaving. Some people get stressed out in very safe situations, and this is the beginning of the problem.
A stress response is necessary for safety, but this blessing becomes a curse to some vulnerable souls.
Those depressed are more prone to chest pain, nausea, headaches, fatigue, anger, weakness, low self-esteem, difficulty concentrating on their work.
When you feel stressed, you can manage your stress with the help of a few strategies.
Sharing is caring
Identify those people in your circles who are loyal and good listeners. If you are under stress, talk to them, ask for help. If you had succeeded in coping with your anxiety, help others as they did when you were under pressure. Your strong emotional support will help you fight your challenges, and you will be able to manage your stress effectively.
Do what you enjoy doing
.Do what gives you peace of mind and contentment. You have quiet by spending time with nature, traveling, and enjoying the green space around you. Gardening is a beautiful pastime, spending time with plants, watching them grow, and relaxing your body and mind. It would help if you had a healthy body and a relaxed brain to live a stress-free life.
Avoid using Caffeine
Caffeine increases stress, do not eat caffeinated foods if you are depressed.
Say No to hard food.
Few and often your key to healthy eating. Eat slowly, even after a break, without overloading your stomach at a time. Eat fruits and vegetables often, one at a time. Have plenty of water. Water intake is required to keep the water balance stable in the body.
Make the most of your time

Sleep well
Good sleep is needed to keep the body and brain healthy. When you are stressed, you will find it hard to sleep. If you have trouble sleeping, you look at the clock again and again, increasing your stress. Do not keep a watch near you or in front of your bed. If you do not fall asleep after an hour of sleep, start reading a book and try to fall asleep after a while again.
Work and family life are balanced

Be aware of your strengths
.When you are stressed, you forget what qualities you have. You have successfully dealt with difficult situations and will do the same in the future. Be confident and face challenges enthusiastically.
