"Title might be looking speculative, but believe me, it is one hundred percent true. The great Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu's one of the famous quotes is, "Doing nothing is better than being busy doing nothing."
Actually, we keep ourselves busy doing nothing rather than working on something worthwhile. Action, karma, or doing something is not about getting some outcome. We believe that action means working towards achieving something.
We just work for earning or getting some outcome, and our motto always remains to fulfill our expectations. So, our entire focus always remains on the outcome of our work, and we knowingly or unknowingly ignore the quality of work. Hence, we do everything to get something but compromise with the quality of work, and finally, we couldn't achieve anything without quality work.
Now, let's think reverse. If we do nothing to achieve something and enjoy our task with complete focus, we could surely achieve everything we want automatically.
It's like a bird that never thinks about how much height it would achieve at the time of flying. It only focuses on its work of flying and enjoys its flying, and it can reach whatever height it wants to achieve."
So Lao Tzu says it is better to do nothing for expecting any outcome than being busy only with expectations of the result of your task.
