Hello everyone, how are you all Today I talk about a new business which is really new for all the people because there are many people who don’t know about this business which is called Freelancing.
Freelancing is a term which is commonly used for a person who is self-employed and not necessarily committed to a particular employment for a long-term. Freelancer workers are sometimes represented by a company or agency which resell freelance labor to clients. Others work independently or use a professional association or website to get work.
Fields, professions and industries which is really dominant includes music, writing, acting, computer programming etc. are some other forms of piece work
Etymology
The term freelancer is commonly attributed to Sir Walter Scott(1771-1832) in Ivanhoe(1820) to describe a medieval mercenary warrior or freelance(indicating lance is not a sword to any lord’s services, not the lance is available free of charge), a previous appearance occur in Thomas N Brown in The Life and Times of Hugh Miller

By custom, payment arrangement may be upfront, percentage upfront upon completion. For complex projects, a contract set a payment schedule based on milestone or outcomes. The disadvantage of freelancing is that there is no guarantee of payment and the work can be highly precarious. In order to ensure payment, many freelancers use online payment platforms to protect themselves or work with local people that can be held accountable Copyright
The question of ownership of a work of copyright arises when an author produces it on the behalf of a client. The matter is in a control of copyright law, which varies by country. The ownership lies with the client in other countries and with the freelancing author in others.
United States
In the U.S. where the federal constitution automatically grants ownership of the copyright only to the author, the contract agreement was explicitly using the language, that the product is work for hire and that the copyright is transferred to the client. The freelancer has the right to reproduce the work. Registration of copyright is not required for the ownership of these rights.
Demographics
A 2018 McKinsey study found that up to 162 million people in the US and Europe engage in some form of independent work, which represents 20-30 percent of the entire working age population.
The total number of freelancers in the USA is inexact, as of 2013 the most recent government report on independent contractors was published in 2005 by the U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor statistics. At that time, there were approximately 10.3 million United States workers (7.4% of the workforce) employed as independent contractors of all sorts. Jeffery Eisenach is an economist at George Mason University, estimated that the number of freelancers have grown by one million. While in 2012, the Aberdeen group which is a private research company estimated that 26% of the U.S. population was a part of the contingent workforce, a category of casual labor that includes freelancing. Benefits
Freelancers have a lot of reasons for freelancing, the benefits are differed by gender, industry and lifestyle. In 2012 freelance industry report that men and women freelance for different reasons. Female survey respondents observe that they prefer the scheduling freedom and flexibility that freelancing offers. Male survey respondents observe that they freelance to follow or pursue their passion. Freelancing also enables people to obtain higher level of employment in isolated communities. The ability to pick and choose for whom the freelancer work with is another benefit. The freelancer chooses a potential client and then decide whether to work with that individual or company.
Freelancing is also taken by those who cannot find work for full-time employment. Freelancers also taken by students who try to meet their ends during the semester.
Drawback
Freelance like other forms of casual labor can be precarious work. Websites, books, portals and organization keep a steady work stream. Beside the lack of job security, many freelancers also report the ongoing hassle of dealing with employers who don’t pay on time and the possibility of long periods without work. Freelancers do not receive employment benefits such as pension, sick leave, paid holidays etc. It can be a serious hardship for freelancers residing in countries such as the US without the universal health care.
Freelancers often earned less than their employed counterparts. Many of the freelancers have 10 years of experience prior to work independently. Experience freelancers do not earn an income which is equal to full time employment. The members give feedback that the web portal freelancer.com tend to attract low paying clients and demand very high standards and pay $10 hour or less. Low-cost suppliers frequently offer to work at rates as low as $1-$2 per hour. Most projects required bidding, but professionals were not bid because they refuse to work at low-rates. This has an effect of reducing the over all quality of the services provided.
Remote work is often seen as an attractive feature of freelancing. The research also suggest that it introduces new set of constraint for the process of doing work, especially who continue to bear the expenses of household chores, and despite their increase in the paid work time.
Internet and Online Marketplace
The internet has open up many freelance opportunities, expand available markets, and has contributed to service sector growth in many economies. There are three types of outsourcing offshore outsourcing, online outsourcing and crowdsourcing are heavily reliant on the internet to provide economical access to remote workers.
Freelance marketplace provides a marketplace to freelancers or buyers. The sellers made a profile in which they include the description of the services they want to offer, like examples of their work and information about their rates. Buyers register and complete their basic profile and post projects mentioning their requirements. Buyers will bid for these projects on a fixed price or hourly basis. Many websites have review section which affect the reputation of freelancers who list there and can be manipulated.
Legal Aspects
Many newspapers offer the option of signing by ghost when a freelance writer sign with an editor, but her name is not listed on the byline of their articles. This allows the writer to receive benefits while still being classified as a freelancer and independent of any organization.
Freelancers often must handle contracts, legal issues or accounting, marketing or other business functions by themselves. If they choose to pay for professional services, it can be defined as out-of- pocket expenses. Working hours can be extended beyond the standard working day and working week.
The European forum define freelancers as a high skill set of employers and employee offering specialized services of an intellectual and knowledge-based nature.
