The first area we look at is that of Human Qualities. This is a combination of knowledge, expertise, and skills, integrated along the path, behavior, of a leader. In organizations of all sizes and in all sectors, public and private, these elements are the key to effective leadership. The essential human qualities are as follows.
Ethics: by learning about ethical issues and concerns that affect your business sector; adopting a balanced, open-minded approach to concern for the morals of others; considering ethical issues and the implications of all human actions and organizational work; to raise and discuss ethical issues before proposing or agreeing to decision; resisting pressure from an organization or its affiliates to achieve goals in ways that are contrary to ethics.
Strategic Thinking, namely: Learning and understanding how the various functions, physical, and horizons, of an organization should work together: to understand the complexity, and the changes taking place in the external environment, and to look at how the organization can better respond to these; understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the organization, and the opportunities and threats it faces; to understand how strategic objectives are influenced by all current influences and predictions that will affect the organization; understanding that operational goals and objectives must align and support the strategic goals of the organization; awareness and reaction to the behavior of current and potential competitors.
Supporting Business Objectives, by: helping to build and communicate with a vision that is understandable and supported by people at all levels; helping others to understand and participate in strategic objectives; to provide personal support in the strategic direction and specific objectives set by the organization.
Communicating Effectively, now: responding to messages and signals from the inside and out; effectively use communication channels from all levels within the organization; continuously promote the sharing of information between the organization, and between providers, customers and partners; listening to others, including those with conflicting opinions, carefully and thoughtfully; choosing appropriate communication styles for different situations and audiences.
Information Collection, by performing: establishing multiple channels and networks that produce a constant flow of information, both within and outside the organization; regularly and continuously collect, analyze, challenge, and apply information collected.
Decision-Making, now: establishing a consistent approach to information analysis; drawing personal information to identify current and potential problems; consider several solutions before choosing the last one; to ensure that the chosen decision is achievable, achievable, and affordable; considering the impact of the decision on all stakeholders, at all levels, prior to approving the implementation.
Developing Effective Teams, by: appreciating the contribution of others, at all levels of the organization; to ensure that individuals and teams are informed of plans, developments and issues that will affect them; ensuring that individual and team development programs are given priority; to provide personal support for the implementation and maintenance of individual and team development activities at all levels.
Behavioral Confidence, by: understanding and responding to personal roles and responsibilities; accepting the key role in initiating action and decision-making; taking personal responsibility for decisions and actions; well-prepared to participate in activities and events; confidence and expertise in dealing with change and challenges; rejecting unreasonable demands; to protect and protect individuals and groups from unfair or discriminatory acts; to stay professional in the way at all times.
