Parents are very keen to understand the nature of their children and the motives for their behavior in order to deal with them and treat what they see as defects, shortcomings, or other uncontrolled matters. Also, parents seek to know the ideal and correct ways to deal with their children, who tend to be stubborn, grumble, and oppose those around them in every big and small thing.
Usually, parents discover that their children have a behavioral disorder due to mistreatment of them. Therefore, the child may have a reaction to misbehavior or wrong practices surrounding him or practiced against him by those around him. Also, the stubbornness may be emergency or temporary due to a specific situation. This is not to deny the scientific fact that stubbornness may be a fixed pattern and characteristic of a child.
Methods of dealing with a stubborn child
If you want to deal with a stubborn child in a way that helps in modifying his aggressive and complaining behaviors, you must control your words and behaviors with him first. Try to scrutinize your words and pick out what you can't disagree with.
Try to smile at him and embrace him in his moments. Also, do not talk too much and do not hear him commands and assignments, and make your talk with him focused on pampering and praising the positives that he possesses, and you see it evident in his behaviors, movements and calms.

Do not be angry with him, do not be harsh on him, and address him with affection.
Stop bullying your child and keep your voice low. Even if he makes a mistake. Why? Because violence makes him go too far with him and feel that you are his enemy. So, always recall that your child is still young and needs your affection and affection. Also, don't be hard on your child and don't get irritated with him and be patient with him. Also, do not blame him for every little thing and try to make him feel that you understand his psychological state and are ready to support him unconditionally, no matter what happens.
As for addressing him with affection, this means that you remind him that you love him and want to see him happy and that his sadness and distress make you feel unhappy.

Stubbornness may be due to the misunderstanding of parents for their children.
Looking at the causes that led to children's stubbornness, psychologists and mental health experts say that most of the causes of stubbornness result from the child's feeling that his or her father or mother does not understand him or her. Some parents will say that children may appear stubborn in their early days, but this is an indication and evidence of the sincerity of what scientists and experts say.
Here we must work the mind and scrutinize what we do. We, as parents, may sometimes make our children do things that don't fit in with reality or turn them off against their will. This is like mothers insisting that their children wear heavy clothes in warm or hot weather.
Also, this stubbornness may be the result of intense fear and concern for children. From pampering what was killed, and from pampering what spoiled children and made them suspect their parents. Do you not see many parents exaggerating in pampering their children or in minimizing them in various situations in a way that invites them to repulsion, indignation and stubbornness as well?
They are so afraid for their children that they see them as not qualified to make a decision, or they cannot rely on themselves, so they spoil their children's souls by doing so and make them stubborn and complain. A child, no matter how small he or she is, is very stubborn if he or she feels that his or her father or mother is suffocating him or her and restricting his or her desire to achieve his or her independence and self-reliance.
What parents should
Parents should treat their children with patience and containment. Also, they should treat them with more love, kindness and softness in dealing. Therefore, I recommend every father and mother to listen to the child with interest and keep a smile when communicating with him at all times. Listen to your child, smile at him, and let him make his own decisions and be independent of what he wants his independence in.
Likewise, do not restrict his movements and do not force him to eat, dress or drink by force. Why are you doing that? So that he is not always stubborn and will self-destruct in order to punish you for your misbehavior with him. This is how to deal with a stubborn child.
